The position is accountable for Transportation Operations Team for Caterpillar Parts organization in Singapore, China and Japan.What You Will Do: \xe2\x80\x8bTo lead and manage a team of direct reports regionally located in Singapore and China, to oversee the transportation operations for Asia Distribution Center (ADC), China Distribution Center (CDC) and Sagami Distribution Center (SDC), CAT Marine (MAK), Caterpillar Energy Solution (CES), Perkins and SPM Oil and Gas (SPM) with a total annual freight spend of USD 30million.Manage KPI Metrics performance and ensure target are met monthly. Conduct monthly KPI review meetings with service providers (freight forwarders and ocean carriers).Work with Air/ Ocean/ Truck procurement for Ocean/ Air/ Forwarding/ Truck bid input, PUGE Matrix, transition and implementation of new service providers (if any).Work closely with Air/ Ocean/ Truck procurement for process alignment, e.g. spot quote reduction, carriers\' selection base on VOC (voice of customers).Conduct and drive root cause analysis of any defects within the transportation flow, create appropriate interim and permanent corrective actions using Caterpillar lean methodology.Drive continuous improvement projects to achieve OPACC targets and cost reductions.Work with Caterpillar Aftermarket Service Parts organization and service providers to reduce inventory in-transit cost through weekly Bin to Bin analysis.
Work with Stakeholders and leaders from supply chain team, facilities, dealer finance group, parts inventory, business resource and dealers to drive cost and velocity saving projects. This includes gather and analyze data and provide recommendation to the team for improvements.
