Job Description

As a client engagement specialist your core job is to engage with transaction banking clients and internal stakeholders to identify mutually achievable outcomes, growth opportunities and generate a point-of-view. You then take the outcome of this initial discovery work all the way to execution either via new solution build or aligning existing solutions with client needs.

You will work with clients (global) across a variety of industries and products. You bring a consultant mindset, are curious by nature and have an entrepreneurial viewpoint. You are a strategic professional who stays abreast of advances in your field and apply these to your job. You are commercially focused and able to translate ideas into commercially relevant propositions.

There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise as you. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence, and collaborate with colleagues, stakeholders, and clients. You possess a high energy, can-do attitude, able to manage multiple priorities, are self-motivated to start and enthusiastic to the finish line, able to learn quickly and have a strong work ethic.

This role is situated within the Partnerships and Innovation function and situated in Citi Innovation Lab, Singapore reporting directly to Global Head of Client Engagement & Asia Innovation.

You are...

  • A Design Thinking and/or Service Design Specialist: Highly skilled group facilitator with a wealth of experience leading multi-disciplinary groups through such activities as strategic planning, journey mapping, issue resolution, brainstorming, and requirements gathering/definition.

Key responsibilities (not limited to)...
  • Exercise all aspects of Design Thinking, including interviewing, requirements gathering, empathy mapping, brainstorming, storyboarding and feedback loops.
  • Understand disruptive and transformational trends across industries, markets, and regulations impacting clients' business and Treasury models.
  • Extreme client focus : Work with senior management, product owners, developers and designers to inform and influence solutions with client focus
  • Develop subject matter expertise and engaging in regional thought leadership initiatives related to disruptive enabling technologies (e.g. and not limited to, Blockchain, IOT, RegTech, API's, Big Data, Security etc.).
  • Collaborate with Sales, Coverage and Product teams to understand clients' business challenges, digitization objectives and identify revenue opportunities for Citi
  • Identify gaps and opportunities in the service and product offerings and support development of a clear roadmap for enhancements and expansions through customer journey, competitors, and external environment analysis
  • Create an effective feedback loop using TTS Innovation / Digital Advisory tools to keep Citi abreast with client digital strategies, initiatives, and priorities.
  • Continuously deliver digitization thought leadership content for internal stakeholders and clients to demonstrate relevance of core TTS solutions to clients' digitization agenda.
  • Communicate TTS approach to Innovation / digitization initiatives and relevance to corresponding strategic business priorities.
  • Conceptualize new ideas and product proposition by exploring solutions based on the latest trends in Digitization and innovation across the financial industry, with focus on emerging digital capabilities, other innovations and potential internal and external platform alliance or partnerships
Qualifications and Education:
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Master's degree (preferred) from a recognized university, with specialization in design thinking and/or service design
  • Financial industry background will be preferred
