The Role


What\xe2\x80\x99s the role? You will deliver Turnaround premises via planning and execution of turnaround activities safely, efficiently and in accordance with applicable premises, AMS TA work processes, and applicable standards. You accountabilities include the following:
  • Develop in-depth familiarity with Shell Asset Management System TA Work Processes, and Recommended Practices and assist Event Manager in driving assigned associated deliverables.
  • Participate in TA Contracting Management.
  • Drive schedule reviews for critical operations and maintenance tasks.
  • To ensure Shell Jurong Island (SJI)\xe2\x80\x99s assets operate safely & reliably, without suffering any process safety incident or causing life-changing events to person(s), the staff is accountable to ensure compliance to those Critical Activities assigned.
  • Ensures environmental plan (waste disposal, frac tanks, vac trucks, etc) is developed.
  • Coordinate risk assessments and mitigation implementation for high-risk activities. Communicates key issues and risks to the TA Event Manager.
  • Support MOC process for TA activities, including necessary temporary facilities, as required.
  • Act as Focal point in TA plan-the-plan tracking. Function as a Block Leader for high complexity event, or act as Night Shift Lead during TA execution, or lead a Low complexity TA. Perform deputy roles for Leads during the absence of the Leads or when assigned, as part of development and business expectations.
  • Organize and facilitate TA related workshops such as readiness reviews, scope challenge, cost/ financial reviews, team alignment, lookbacks etc.
  • Provides a critique of turnaround activities after completion of project, facilitate Continuous Improvement (CI) programs in TA, starting to development of initiatives to alignment throughout the event team to execution.
  • Organise review of TA related plans such as HSSE, Flawless Quality, Logistics, Pre-TA works etc.
  • Assesses job to understand the optimal plan to achieve turnaround premises including low cost and safety performance. Understand interfaces between TA Planning and other functions and facilitates communication between all work groups as appropriate.
  • Works with Master Scheduler to optimize the master schedule & perform field verification of work described in approved work scope submissions and develops detailed Primavera work scope activities, with craft type and estimated hours, coding requirements etc.
  • Management of turnaround files and records. Participate in drafting of investment paper for submission.
  • Participate in development of event organization with Event Manager. Assembles work packages with detailed information for planning and execution.
  • Able to perform detail planning for mechanical discipline including piping & static equipment & identify resources for execution. Able to identify & purchase materials required during planning phase.
  • Work with Contractor to develop Workpacks for execution. Assigned as Contract Holders for Medium and Low risk contract specific to the Production Unit.
What we need from you
  • Educated in technical or engineering discipline at tertiary level, preferably in Mechanical Engineering
  • 6-8 years of proven experience within an Oil and Gas or Process environment, or relevant industries
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a multi-disciplinary operations team
  • Strong verbal, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated competency to provide a high standard of services to internal customers
  • Awareness of environmental health and safety legislation as applicable to the operation and maintenance of facilities, commitment to safety, strong safety culture/leadership
