Job Description
Maintaining visual contact with the drone at all times during its flight and being able to inform the pilot of its location relative to you. Warning pilot of other flight hazards (i.e. aircraft / drones / birds) in area Ensure takeoff / landing zones are clear at all times Initiating drone maintenance after every flight Acting as second pilot-in-command in case of pilot incapacitation Having good 3D spatial awareness and situational awareness of the environment around you Good communication skills to relay information to pilot in real time To act as second pair of eyes for the pilot on the ground as he is moving around Ensure that all drone equipment is accounted for at the end of every flight Having a quick reaction time to respond in case of any emergencies (i.e. emergency landings / sudden signal loss, etc.) To assist and support the pilot in any way while the drone is airborne To handle any queries or complaints from the general public that comes and engages you To handle any law enforcement that comes and does spot checks on you Have a keen eye for detail, with good observational skills * To be able to predict and pre-empt potentially hazardous situations and warn the pilot before the situation escalates to become dangerous
