Overview:
As a UI designer, you live and breathe user-centric interaction design. While you may not be able to code (although it won’t hurt), you know what can and can’t be done in a browser or on a mobile screen, and you constantly keep yourself informed about the ways in which those possibilities change. You have a keen eye for typography, visual hierarchy, colour and space, but you also know the best ways to display, select, and control things in an interactive environment.

You can create a design language for a brand’s online properties from scratch, following existing brand guidelines and develop design guidelines or a design system to convey it to others.

You’re proficient in Figma (and/or Sketch & Adobe XD and have used some online prototyping tool or other. You are confident explaining your design (or even somebody else’s) to the client and aren’t too precious about it to accept feedback and make it better. You love to guide more junior designers, helping them to become better every day, and you enjoy learning from consultants and developers about customer experience strategy, UX, and technology. • Design visual identities for websites and mobile apps
• Craft web designs, interactive elements, and online applications
• Write visual guidelines and design systems
• Create illustrations and vector graphics
• Rapidly create pitch designs
• Present designs in front of clients and take feedback
• Guide junior designers and share knowledge
• Create Design Systems to ensure scalability and efficiency
• Fulfill the Product Owner role in AGILE Scrum teams
• Work closely with developers, project managers and consultants
• Accurately estimate time needed for tasks and manage your time autonomously

• Design or fine arts degree
• Minimum 3 years experience designing digital properties like websites and mobile apps
• Deep desire to continue learning about UX and technology as it impacts design
• Ability to justify design decisions beyond the merely aesthetic
• Understanding for the possibilities and limitations of front-end web and native app code
• Love for expressing an opinion and working collaboratively
