Overview:
As a UI designer, you live and breathe user-centric interaction design. While you may not be able to code (although it won’t hurt), you know what can and can’t be done in a browser or on a mobile screen, and you constantly keep yourself informed about the ways in which those possibilities change. You have a keen eye for typography, visual hierarchy, colour and space, but you also know the best ways to display, select, and control things in an interactive environment.
You can create a design language for a brand’s online properties from scratch, following existing brand guidelines and develop design guidelines or a design system to convey it to others.
You’re proficient in Figma (and/or Sketch & Adobe XD and have used some online prototyping tool or other. You are confident explaining your design (or even somebody else’s) to the client and aren’t too precious about it to accept feedback and make it better. You love to guide more junior designers, helping them to become better every day, and you enjoy learning from consultants and developers about customer experience strategy, UX, and technology.
