Job Description
Looking to hire for a Underwriter with at least 3 - 5 years experience on Life or Group business underwriting.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate insurance applications: both new business and policy renewals for affinity and group plans. Determine if the associated risk falls within acceptable parameters.
Communicate clearly: with customers, explaining underwriting requirements and presenting underwriting decisions.
Address concerns: appeals and complaints related to underwriting matters, striving for positive resolutions.
Collaborate with reinsurers: with reinsurers on complex cases, managing risk exposure and navigating treaty limits.
Draft official documents:Prepare underwriting letters, including those outlining special terms or decisions, before official release.
Process improvement: and refine existing underwriting processes, seeking increased efficiency and effectiveness.
