Internship Project: Automate RFQ process and Build a Robust Vendor Selection Model - P2750
Problem Statement: Manual downloading of parts information and email to multiple vendors. No reminders triggered if the bidding deadline is due. Also, no reminders sent to vendors yet to quote. Once the quotes are received, manual analysis is done on vendor selection and sent to Purchasing supervisor for approval.
Objective: To reduce time spent on manual intervention through automation, trigger reminders to vendor few days prior to bidding deadline, flag to sourcing when bidding deadline is due and build a robust vendor selection model for Purchasing supervisor approval. Includes building a Halliburton Vendor Database (Industry, Product Type, Service Quality Rating, Responsiveness, etc) for model selection logic.
Actions of the Intern will include:
- Understanding of sourcing RFQ and its impact to company business
- Application of Microsoft VBA, PowerBI, PowerAutomate
- Project management skills
Skillset Required
1. Basic knowledge to Microsoft VBA, PowerBI, PowerAutomate
2. GPA 4/5 or above
3. Public relations skill and ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders
4. Ability to think and work independently in project management and problem solving
5. Flexibility to work within a multi discipline team and receive dynamic on the job training
