Job Description


You will be part of a dynamic team reporting to the Director of Land & Sea Space Planning. You will support the division on urban planning of Singapore agriculture land including the planning for infrastructure provisions to support agriculture activities. You need to have an overview of the agriculture land use quantum and carry out periodic reviews and plan the use of the land in a productive and sustainable manner. You should be cognisant of the current way agriculture land is being used, the progress of how the agriculture industry is transforming, the challenges faced by the industry, the physical limitations of our agriculture land sites, and think of possible solutions to overcome constraints and plug any gaps. The planning needs to take in the immediate term, middle-term and long-term needs of the industry by considering all relevant factors from a holistic ecosystem angle.

  • Conduct urban and infrastructure planning of agriculture land and coordinate infrastructure provisions to support sea farming activities.
  • This includes but not limited to (a) the Lim Chu Kang masterplan and redevelopment plan which would be first of its kind and houses state-of-art modern farming, MEP system and shared facilities, (b) the Sungei Tengah masterplan review which would have competing needs, and (c) implementation plan for Agri-Food Innovation Park.
  • Liaise with government agencies to plan out the implementation timeline. Follow through issues and constraints to resolve them so that implementation can happen as planned.
  • Have a broad sense of infrastructure costing or resourceful enough to obtain such high-level information to prepare high level cost estimates for budgetary purposes.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned to you from time to time.
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree and/or Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Urban Planning with experience in MEP infrastructure planning. Candidates with Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with experience in large scale urban planning project may also apply.
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in dealing with urban and infrastructure planning.
  • Proficient in Autocad, ArcGIS, photoshop, Microsoft Windows Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and able to use business intelligence tools such as Power BI to create dashboards and interactive data visualization. Knowledge in other architecture/planning/graphics software (eg. BIM, Sketchup, illustrator) will be advantageous.
  • Clear and concise writing skills, persuasive presentation skills, good communication skills and the ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders.
