Job Description

Overall ResponsibilityResponsible for the review, periodic monitoring and analyses of finance and accounting transactions as basis of accurate financial statement of an SBU.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPayable

• Review and test validity of payable transactions, supporting documents, mathematical accuracy and proper charging of accounts. Review/prepares accounting entries and/or accounts payable voucher, as necessary, for approval of the SBU Accounting Manager.
• Generate Accounts Payable Ageing on a regular basis. Reconcile with the creditor as necessary.
• Monitor and analyses the payable accounts.
• Prepare adjustments / journal entries as a result of the above analyses for approval of the Accounting Manager, as applicable.

General Accounting

• Monitor and analyses General Ledger accounts.
• Monitors Advances to Officers and Employees accounts and ensure balances are current. Review liquidations and its supporting documents as to validity, mathematical accuracy and recorded on time.
• Prepares and monitors timely filing of monthly, quarterly and annual returns and payment of taxes due.
• Participates in the financial review such as Balance Sheet, revenues, costs and expenses.
• Prepares/assists in the preparation and submission of audit / compliance requirements for the internal and external auditors, BIR, LGU examiners and/or other government regulatory bodies.
• Perform Countering of Invoices per assigned schedule.

Education

• Graduate of 4 years baccalaureate course. Bachelor of Science in Accountancy

Experience

• With two (2) years' work experience assigned to finance and accounting functions.

Special Skills and Personal Qualities

• Hardworking, patient, persevering and can work with minimum supervision
• Computer literate.
