Short Description for Internal Candidates:

StoneX is searching for a qualified candidate to lead the US Treasury Bond trading and marketing effort regionally. The best candidate will work closely with the local Fixed Income team to market the business, as well as coordinate with the New York office for both risk management and franchise building initiatives.

Position Purpose:

• To act as the primary market maker and trader of the US Treasury Bond product in the Asian region.

• Primary trader and portfolio risk manager in Asia for StoneX's US Treasury bond franchise

• Manage incoming customer flow across a range of Treasury products, including Benchmark notes and bonds, off-the-run securities, Treasury Bills, TIPS, and Zero bonds

• Work closely with Sales leads in marketing the Treasury bond product to expand client reach throughout Asia

• Support the product as well as the regional expansion with regular commentary on market movements and drivers, as well as through proprietary idea generation and market intelligence delivered to accounts

• Actively prospect new clients across investor type including official institutions, asset managers, regional banks, and hedge funds among others

• Coordinate with the New York office in managing inventories and portfolio risk across trading books and time zones, as well as in order to share information on markets, risk, and client activity

• Assist the credit and other fixed income business locally as needed

• Travel to visit clients will be essential

• 2+ years of experience trading US Treasuries on either the buy or sell-side, preferably in the region

• Alternatively, 5+ years trading USD-denominated swaps in a sell-side role

• Experience following and understanding of the tools used by central banks globally to conduct monetary policy, especially those of the US Federal Reserve

• Passion for markets and firm grasp of the relationships between US Treasuries and other government bonds, interest rate, commodity, and financial markets

• Excellent communication and organization skills

• Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment with shifting focus throughout the day

• An entrepreneurial and collaborative demeanor, and a fierce work ethic

• Candidates in Asia Local Rates Trading roles can be considered (e.g. SGD, IDR, PHP etc)

• Degree in Economics, Finance preferred but not essential

• Local requirements I.e. MAS and/or SFC

• Preparation for exam is expected to complete outside of normal business hours

• Physical presence alongside the Singapore Fixed Income team strongly preferred
