About the role

The GTR Customer Marketing Manager is tasked with supporting value creation through effective engagement and conversion of shoppers at the point of purchase (POP). This will be achieved through execution, implementation, and evaluation in a timely fashion of Brand & Customer Marketing plans that deliver against Penfolds growth ambitions.

Specific emphasis upon:
  • Value Creation to TWE, Customers & Shoppers through translating customer and shopper insights into world leading marketing activations that deliver positive returns.
  • Brand Leadership through transformation of the wine shopping experience that unlocks Penfolds growth and cements Penfolds as the leading Luxury wine brand and partner of choice.
  • Strong Collaboration with major stakeholders; GT Director, Global Brand Teams, GT Regional Customer Marketing Managers and Key Global Customers to deliver impactful execution.
  • Flawless Execution & Implementation of marketing plans in priority regions Australia and South East Asia and with key Global Customers: Dufry, Heinemann, Qantas, Lotte, DFS and King Power.
  • Measurement and Evaluation against clearly defined KPIs, and monitor commercial impact of GT activation plan and build action plan accordingly & Efficient budgetary management and control.
Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:

Deliver Best in class activation against aligned Penfolds Global Travel Strategy:
  • Implementation of Global Brand toolkits specific to GT that drive global execution against global standards
  • Implementation of Retail solutions on Penfolds against identified shopper barriers / needs
  • Support of Global Permanent Visibility Strategy and submission (CAPEX)
  • Search and Spin best practice globally, including Measurement and Evaluation (M&E)
  • Support execution picture of success for channel Exclusive & new product launches
  • Review all in-market key initiative plans and activations to ensure they are aligned to global guidance and search and spin key learnings
  • Regional A&P management
Partnering Global Customers:
  • Support Global & Regional Customer 18M activation plans against TWE and Customer Growth ambitions
Champion Shopper Insights:
  • Partner Penfolds Global Insights team to translate shopper research insights into business driving opportunities
  • Stays up to date on market and customer data to actively mine insights to be applied to Shopper strategy and/or programs
  • Support compelling case studies that showcase and support Penfolds shopper strategies for GTR
  • Inject Voice of Customer and Shopper into strategic discussions
Trade Events, Trade Media Strategy & Execution:
  • Support the execution of Key Global Travel Trade Events
  • Trade PR and Media engagement lead
Agency Management:
  • Provide quality and timely briefs for external agencies and engage fully and swiftly to ensure a superior output on brief, on budget and on time
  • When required, identify vendors and lead regional purchases on GT items
Internal Advocacy:
  • Support strong internal belief on the value creation of Global Travel within TWE through strong internal communications
E-Comm Strategy
  • Support and execute GT E-Com Strategy as aligned internally
  • Partner Global Digital to deliver optimal execution for brand awareness and conversion
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Degree in Marketing or Business related discipline
  • Minimum 5+ years customer facing sales / marketing experience within FMCG industry and preferable drinks sector
  • Regional market experience preferred
  • Shopper Marketing and / or Category Management experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage several projects simultaneously
  • Excellent presentation preparation and delivery
  • Demonstrate agility to adapt to changes effectively
