Broad Functions:

To assist the Production Department Manager in all areas of Waste Water Treatment (WWT), Waste Gas Treatment (WGT) & Utility (UTL) functions and operations. Main duties cover Operation Management, Quality Management, Environment, Health and Safety Management and Manpower Management and to ensure that their respective staff is following the correct applications.

/ Responsibilities:

• The Utility Section Manager reports to the Production Manager with the responsibility and liaise with all Utility personals.
• Ensure that all discharge i.e. effluent and emission meets the local regulatory requirement.
• Ensure that all operating equipment i.e. Boilers, Receivers etc. are well maintained and meet the local regulatory requirement.
• Study present workflow and to continuously improved operation methods, equipment performance and quality of work.
• Ensure that the SOP for all Waste Water Treatment, Waste Gas Treatment, and Utility processes are strictly observed by all personnel.
• Assist in the planning and monitoring of operation schedules and materials requirement.
• Monitor and liaise with respective Sections for all abnormal utility usage or abnormal waste discharge.
• Ensure that Waste Water Treatment, Waste Gas Treatment, and Utility are operating smoothly and efficiently.
• Develop and implements programs to improve cost effectiveness, safety and operational standards.
• Train, Discipline and take care of the welfare of all Utility personals.
• Plan and publish monthly shift roster for all Utility personnel.
• Lead the CERT (Company Emergency Respond Team).

Requirements:

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience
• Familiar with Environmental Safety and Health regulations
• Applicants with SCEM (Singapore Certified Energy Manager) and experience in leading CERT will be an added advantage.
• Some working knowledge of chemical plant management
• Proficiency in Computer literacy
• A team player who is self-disciplined, good leadership qualities, resourceful and problem solver
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, tact and a high degree of integrity and strong planning skills.

• Japanese MNC dealing with Polymer Petrochemical (Plastics and Rubber)
• Working in Jurong Island
• Salary Range: 3.5K to 5.5K + Bonus + AWS: 3-4 months
• 5 days work week 8am - 4.45pm
• Company transport at Jurong Island & Lakeside
