About The Digital Factory

The Digital Factory was launched in July 2017 in Paris as a fully-fledged internal digital company whose mission is to accelerate the digital transformation of Thales and its customers. It now already hosts more than 230 experts in digital technologies (Cloud, Internet of Things, big data, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity etc) and methods (design thinking, lean start-up, agile software development) to develop innovative products in close collaboration with future users. The Digital Factory delivers first versions of new digital services in a few months to quickly test operational and business value, through Minimum Viable Products (MVP). With many MVPs already delivered in domains such as air traffic management, avionics equipment repair, drone operations, airport passenger experience, maritime traffic, metros maintenance, the Digital Factory allows Thales\xe2\x80\x99s customers to quickly experiment new solutions at a rapid rate to improve their operations and customers experience.

We are looking to further strengthen our design team in Singapore to provide our business lines and customers a user focussed edge when delivering products and solutions.

Who Are You?

• You are an end-to-end UX generalist who can take a product from initial conception to the designed solution.
• You are at least four to five years old into the practice of user experience design.
• You have already evolved in (or willing to immerse into) an agile and scrum environment.
• You have a good knowledge and practice of the UX/Lean UX methodology.
• You prefer to design collaboratively with an iterative mindset, and engage your stakeholder to do the same.
• You are open-minded.
• You enjoy seeking feedback from the users and stakeholders; so you may benefit from them to optimise your designs and your practices.
• You are autonomous and know how to adapt quickly and drive change for the better.
• You bloom in a team and like working in a collaborative environment.
• You agree that data over opinion is a healthy and an important mentality.

What Can We Implement Together?

By joining us, you will own and handle the design of our MVPs (Minimum Valuable Products) or even contribute as a consultant within Thales Group\xe2\x80\x99s projects or products. You will be the nurturing voice of design transformation within the Group by exemplifying the values of Digital Factory beyond its business lines.

So, you will find yourself engaging in the following scopes and activities:

• Own the projects; by collaborating and modelling the user experience of various business-to-business (B2B) systems and solutions from within Thales\xe2\x80\x99 business lines and beyond (such as joint labs with external customers).

• Design and facilitate user research studies to uncover needs and pain points using various methods (user interviews, surveys, desk research, card sorting, user testing, tree-testing etc) .

• Drive co-creation of archetypes and research outcomes (user persona, user journey, experience maps, wireframes, etc).

• Design the UI with best practices and rigorously validate them with end-users.

• Iterate designs based on the user test findings.

• Collaborate with the product owners to refine user stories and with the developers to implement the UI.\xe2\x80\xa2 Contribute to the design system, alpha style guides and liaise with the design system owners to ensure alignment with best practices.

• Engage with stakeholders to define ideal ways of working for the success of the product.
