About us iLex is a Singapore-based fintech start-up that has created the first independent electronic marketplace for loans and is bringing the asset class into the digital era. iLex is a B2B marketplace and platform for buyers and sellers to originate, distribute and trade corporate loans. Our technology allows the listing, matching, negotiating, order routing and execution of trades in the loan market. Our clients include banks, fund managers, pension funds, insurance companies and debt advisors. We partner with global industry leaders such as IHS Markit, Refinitiv and S&P Global to provide connectivity across the value chain and co-create a unique and integrated loan eco-system. Our ambition is to become the reference marketplace and platform to trade loans globally by 2025.

About the role In close collaboration with the Chief Product Officer, the UI/UX designer will be responsible for turning complex problems into simple, intuitive experiences for the platform’s users. The UI/UX designer will also be expected to contribute to sales & marketing collateral design and production. To be successful in the role you should be a great team player with experience working in agile teams. You should also be keen on working in a start-up environment. Compensation includes a monthly base salary inclusive of CPF, plus equity-based component per iLex’s ESOP plan.

You will:

• Conceptualise, prototype and design new features and UI/UX solutions for our web platform to enhance user experience
• Design collateral and graphics for our website and marketing content including video editing.
• Understand design guidelines and UI/UX patterns to generate relevant professional output that is usable, consistent, and intuitive for customers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (especially engineers) to help design and define key visual requests and implementations
• Gather insights on product adoption/improvements, track KPIs, identify key metrics and propose further iterations
• Analyse quantitative data to understand customer behaviour, expectations, and performance of features

What we look for:

• 4 to 6 years’ experience and proven track record, ideally within the financial markets industry with a B2B player.
• Experience working in ambiguous, quickly scaling environments and in agile/scrum development process.
• Ability to listen, learn quickly and show initiative.
• Collaborative personality with ability to work independently in an organized way.
• Strong experience with using product and design tools (e.g Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, InVision)
• Excellent communication skills and capable of explaining decisions and managing expectations.
• Problem solving and user-centric mindset with sharp attention to detail.
• High level of numeracy with some experience in data handling, basic coding and SQL skills would be highly valued.
• Genuine interest in Fintech / financial services industry with some knowledge and understanding of corporate finance / financial markets.
• University degree and English language fluency.
