Position Title: Manager, Valuation
Job Purpose:
The role is responsible for valuation functions for the Cigna Australia/Singapore entity, primarily valuation i.e. Internal US GAAP reporting, annual reserve and expense study, local statutory reporting, ALCO, ORSA etc. and potentially ad hoc project such as IFRS17.
Job Responsibilities:
To support on APAC valuation tasks in particularly for Australia and Singapore such as:
o Assist on internal US GAAP reporting, annual reserve and expense study; and also, regular local statutory reporting, ALCO, ORSA etc.
o Setting reserves for financial close, conduct claims and loss ratio detailed movement analysis and understanding of underlying key drivers.
o Other ad hoc actuarial reserving projects such as automate and streamline existing reserving processes for IFRS17 & APAC; on and off provide actuarial support, drive decision making and coordinate with accounting and IT counterparts etc.
Be able to juggle priorities and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Be high degree of personal, high intellect, strong financial acumen; with professional integrity and be able to balance and apply actuarial principles in a commercial setting.

Job Requirements:
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Actuarial Science or related field of study
Associate in the Society of Actuaries, Institute of Actuaries, or comparable actuarial designation. Qualified actuary preferred.
Strong knowledge and experience of valuation and reporting process.
Understanding in health insurance, health claim process, healthcare systems, IFRS17 is a plus.
5+ years of actuarial experience, with knowledge of the Actuarial valuation function and operating models
Excellent English verbal and written skills
Strong proficiency in Programming (macro), Microsoft (Excel, Access, PowerPoint etc.), Alteryx, AWS, ResQ, SQL and Tableau preferred
