Responsibilities

  • Define Battery Electric/Hybrid Electric Vehicle HV Power Systems Architecture as well as Controls and Communication Architecture
  • Size and select/design HV Power Electronics, HV Power Distribution Systems and HV Energy Storage Systems
  • Ensure sizing and selection of sub-systems are optimized to support electrified payloads and/or export power requirements
  • Design and develop software for Mobility Control Unit (MCU) for mobility and energy management control
  • Utilise Modeling and Simulation (M&S) to perform analysis for Power Generation/Recovery Performance and EMI/EMC
  • Generate Interface Design Specification, Software Acceptance Test Procedure, Test Reports & Engineering Instructions
  • Work with external partners to explore new or maturing technologies for HV Power Electronics, HV Power Distribution Systems and HV Energy Storage Systems for implementation
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required
  • Keen interest in BEV/HEV HV battery and HV power electronic technologies
  • Knowledge in high level programming (such as C++ or Python) is preferred
  • Able to read, interpret and draft electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Possessing a valid class 3 license is a plus
  • Able to work independently and effectively with peers, resourceful and keen to learn
  • Must be a team player with good communication skills
  • Willing to perform hands-on work in the workshop/on the vehicle
