Job Description


We are seeking a Vendor Manager to be based in Singapore to manage the ongoing third-party vendor management for one of our largest and most complex Investment Banking accounts for the APAC region.

The Vendor Manager will be responsible for the ongoing partnership with key third party vendors to meet our day-to-day and strategic support requirements in the broad categories of external print, couriers, postal providers, shredding and stationery. Understanding our clients’ business requirements and implementing industry best practices to service these requirements will be important to the success of this role.

The role will require strong organisational skills, as well as the ability to influence and negotiate.
Specific areas of responsibility:

  • Oversee and implement best practices for vendor management across APAC and India
  • Management of third-party vendor contracts and SLAs, including monthly reporting
  • Client facing role, providing service line specific updates, and resolving issues on the client’s behalf
  • Documenting onboarding, procurement and billing processes and make recommendations for improvements
  • Management of the billing and reconciliation process – including timely payment of invoices to vendors and billing to the client
  • Ongoing management of costs and demonstrations of savings wherever possible, particularly for print (print includes offsite digital print, offset print, large format print, etc) and stationery vendors
  • Proper onboarding of any new suppliers in line with Williams Lea Sourcing team requirements
  • Working with local team contacts in each country
  • Liaison with the Williams Lea Sourcing team regarding any ongoing audit of third-party vendors to ensure compliance

Professional experience and skills required:
  • Proven work experience as a vendor manager, sourcing manager or procurement manager
  • Relevant software knowledge including Ariba and Office 365
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the print process with the ability to manage this process, including quoting of jobs and management of delivery of these jobs
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, negotiate with vendors and develop sourcing strategies which help support the business
  • Ability to successfully manage complexity and multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience in Investment Banking or Financial Services highly desirable
