WMi is led by a team of experienced entrepreneurs, investors and venture builders. We are looking for a Venture Associate to support our team in identifying and evaluating opportunity spaces, validating new venture concepts, and helping our ventures grow. You will work closely with the WMi partners, Venture Architects and our Founders to build businesses that have the potential to be billion dollar companies and abate 100 MT of carbon at scale. Although your primary role will be to support Founders and Venture Architects launch new ventures, you will have the opportunity to try a bit of everything from investment analysis, portfolio management, marketing through to recruitment. If you are interested in entrepreneurship, this is the ultimate hands-on learning opportunity. What you'll do: . Market research to understand economic conditions, relevant industry trends and the competition . Customer outreach to industry experts, stakeholder groups and potential customers in order to validate problem areas and potential business models . Turn data into insights in order to support Founders and Venture Architects by consolidating data points and look for patterns and opportunities . Help define the value proposition, business model options, develop the economic model and generate the business plan for new ventures . Assist with story-boarding, rapid prototyping and testing potential solutions with identified customer segments . Pull together investment briefs and pitch decks and any other documentation needed to support the venture building process . Provide strategic and operational support to the founders during the launch period . Help to build the operational processes and the venture building playbook for WMi Who you are: Your Skills & Experience . 1-3 years of experience in startups or similar in go-to-market, customer development, and product management . Comfortable working with data, conducting analysis and helping to form insights and recommendations . Project management experience, track record of breaking down larger programs of work into tasks and delivering outcomes . Strong communication and interpersonal skills Your Mindset . You are passionate about startups, technology, business models, founder stories, venture capital, and sustainability . You comfortable with ambiguity and able to focus on next steps/actions and prioritize . You are open to cold outreach and using your personal networks to support customer development for our ventures . You are systematic and methodological while maintaining a sense of urgency to get things done . While remaining flexible and adaptable, you will act with integrity at all times . You are curious. You are a perpetual learner who loves to ask questions and challenge assumptions .
