As the Business Unit Head of Commercial Products in ASEAN, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing comprehensive strategic plan. You will drive sustainable and profitable growth in product testing, inspection, and certification services across industries including Industrial, Energy, and Transportation sectors within the Commercial Products Business Unit. Some of the services include robotics and machinery safety evaluation, EV and ESS battery testing, EV charging infrastructure testing services, product reliability services, EMC services, carbon footprint verification, and cyber security services. In your role, you will set the direction to drive sales and business development activities to achieve commercial success. Additionally, you will be responsible in ensuring synergy between the Business Lines and Service Lines for your business.
Responsible for budgeting, P&L, and sales for Commercial Products Business Unit in ASEAN, with a focus on achieving year-on-year sales growth and improved operating results by expanding product testing and certification services.
Conceptualize, develop and execute the business and Go-To-Market strategies.
Align with Global Divisional, Regional and Local Service Line teams on the business strategies to ensure smooth implementation and achieve or exceed business growth targets in ASEAN.
Identify and respond to business and market trends, opportunities, and customer needs to strategically determine the focus of the BU.
Define and optimize the Sales organizational setup, driving Sales excellence activities and modernization through digitalization.
Collaborate with Service Line Heads and ASEAN GMs to identify local competency gaps (technical and sales) and drive collaboration with technical operational teams across ASEAN to uphold high performance standards and achieve KPI targets.
Establish and strengthen networks in the industry and maintain effective relationships with clients, prospects, and strategic partners. Network actively with market players, business leaders and government agencies to increase corporate visibility and standing.
Oversee talent development and succession planning, leading and coaching both direct and functional reports in sales and business development teams to achieve strong revenue growth and operating results.
Ensure financial compliance and governance.
Your Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor\'s degree in an Engineering discipline. Further studies in Business or MBA will be advantageous.
Minimum of 10 years of sales management and/or consulting experience in global organisations, including at least 3 years of direct and relevant business development or sales experience at the regional level within a matrix-structured environment.
Team leadership experience is required for this role.
Technical knowledge of specific industries and products required for the Business Unit.
Experience in working with Third Party Testing, Inspection and Certification companies will be preferred
Strong business acumen to address leadership challenges and assumptions.
Skilled in navigating challenges and aligning stakeholders to drive business initiatives and meet customer needs.
Monitor, review and analyze project progression to optimize financial and business performance.
Expertise in business development, strategic planning, execution, and project management.
Demonstrated business judgment and diplomacy to influence management and implement business initiatives effectively.
Willing to travel at least 25% of the time.
