Job Description


Marsh is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Singapore office: Vice President, Corporate Risks Services (Team Leader) What can you expect? You will join as a seasoned professional in Singapore retail broking team (non-specialty), who works independently with minimal supervision to grow, ensure retention and relationship satisfaction of a team\xe2\x80\x99s portfolio of clients through collaboration with internal stakeholders to meet our target revenue.
Specifically you will:

  • Maintain and grow an existing portfolio of Corporate clients and contribute to personal and team sales targets while overseeing the portfolio held by junior members of the team.
  • Serve as a coach for a team; guide junior team members on account management and expansion process and intervenes when necessary to offer guidance and prevent relationship losses for at-risk team accounts.
  • Conduct and analyze research to maintain a comprehensive understanding of core team\xe2\x80\x99s accounts and coinciding business needs.
  • Attend or participate in presentations or sales meetings for priority accounts when necessary to develop team capabilities and maintain the team portfolio.
  • Identify expansion opportunities for personal and team accounts leveraging an advanced understanding of internal service and product offerings, market trends and developments and the business standing of specific accounts.
  • Lead larger clients and complex accounts enquiries and address escalated issues to ensure best solutions are provided.
  • Define the strategy for custom solution development for the team portfolio for the designated mid-market and larger geography, communicating product and solution sales targets, compensation and pricing expectations.
  • Collaborate with business development team and other internal stakeholders in new business prospecting activities.
  • Attend and participate in industry events and conferences and client functions to build up a strong professional network, maintain proximity to the relevant market and represent the Company and its product offerings and solutions.

We will count on you to:
  • Research on changes in the insurance and clients\xe2\x80\x99 market and identify the potential risks
  • Take on a leading role within the business as a mentor and subject matter expert
  • Be the face of Marsh to external stakeholders
  • Analyze and formulate insights on client challenges through data analysis
  • Evaluate internal products and services to tailor to clients\xe2\x80\x99 solutions
  • Collaborate extensively with internal stakeholders within Marsh McLennan to align with our growth ambition

What you need to have:
  • Degree in any discipline
  • At least 10 years\' prior experience in the insurance industry including 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in retail broking, preferably
  • Relevant experience in Property and Casualty insurance in Singapore market preferred
  • Excellent people management, time management, verbal and written communication skills
  • Attained minimum Certificate in General Insurance (CGI). ANZIIF or ACII will be an added advantage.
