Job summary

Financing & Client Services (FCS) in charge of several cross-functions of the Financing Bank, including agency, transaction management and client service for loans, cash management and receivable & supply chain finance activities, as well as KYC support.

  • Agency & Transaction Management: provides agency roles and loan management for financing transactions originated by business lines such Energy & Real Assets (ERA), Corporate & Leveraged Finance (CLF), and certain financing activities of International Trade & Transaction Banking (ITB) such Export Finance, Global Commodity Finance, Trade Finance, etc), as well as distribution activities of Distribution & Asset Rotation (DAR);
  • Cash & RSF Transactions and Services provides transaction management and client service for ITB\'s Cash Management and Receivable & Supply Chain Finance (RSF) activities.
  • KYC Support & Services is in charge of collecting and processing information for Corporate KYCs and assessing the non-compliance risks for correspondent banking activity.
The successful candidate will be specializing in the Agency & Transaction Management and Cash & RSF Transactions and Services.

This list is non exhaustive, and the candidate could be involved in any other project/task as requested by the management from time to time. The candidate may participate in initiatives that will drive some business lines products development and improve the various processes Front to Middle to Back Office linked to these products.

Main Responsibilities:

1.Agency & Transaction Management

Acting as Facility and/or Security Agent, responsible for handling day to day operational requirements of a portfolio of syndicated loan transactions including, but not limited to:
  • Confirmation of Conditions Precedent (CPs)
  • Monitoring scheduled activity on the loan portfolios
  • Liaising with Borrowers and Lenders to ensure timely execution of processes and lifecycle events
  • Interacting with Lawyers on facility documentation, legal consent, etc
  • Engaged internally with Front Office and Credit Monitoring Risk team to ensure relevant approvals and sign offs are obtained for any Agency-led decisions
In addition, the candidate expected to involve in the following BAU activities:
  • Comment on loan documentation (Agency/Participation/Bilateral)
  • Responsible for monitoring the processing of all loan related activities (drawdown, rollover, fee/interest apportionment, repayments, etc)
  • Ensure portfolio remains compliant and properly updated in internal bank systems
  • Monitor Borrowers compliance with submission of documentary and financial covenants and process waiver request if required
  • Attend to queries from Borrowers, Lenders, Investors, and other transactional partners on time.

2. Cash & RSF Transactions and Services

Quoting indicative rates to clients on a daily/weekly basis

Responding to specific requests for loan/deposit rates
Liaising with Treasury for base rates
Checking Client Positions
Confirming margins with Front Office before responding to Clients
Checking with Finance to ensure compliant with prudential regulatory ratios where significant amounts are involved
Managing bilateral loans and deposits processing for clients in scope:

Liaising with Borrowers to confirm amount, tenor, and rates
Preparing tickets for booking, ensure payment is released in time, provide loan advice to clients
Ensuring repayments are received on value dates
Answering to Client\'s related queries on their account such as account balances, monthly account statement, audit confirmation, facility usages, etc)

Provide client services and support for RSF activities including platforms training, client queries etc.

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

A Bachelor Degree or higher level of education in Banking & Finance

Level of minimal experience

6-10 years

Experience

At least 5-6 years relevant experience in Banking and Agency Loan Operations, or middle office in similar capacity

Required skills
  • Excellent commination skills both written and verbal being comfortable interacting with all levels of seniority and with external clients
  • Knowledge of corporate and investment products and banking regulatory requirements;
  • A good attention to detail and high levels of self-organization
  • Ability to work independently, eager to learn, proactive, and multitasking to manage priority
  • Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment, assertiveness
