About the Department

Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations.

We have centralized and standardized the technology components into Singapore, creating a global footprint which can be utilized for supporting our regional subsidiaries and the branches around the world. We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure.

Our Operations divisions provide transactional customer services for our businesses while also focusing on cost efficiency through process improvements, automation and straight through processing.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of 3-4 staff in the Operations Control Department:
• Performs cash and stock reconciliations and periodic scrip counts
• Verification / validation of General Ledger and NOSTRO accounts
• Implementing operational control policies and procedures and performs daily / periodic control verification checks on the division
• Implementing process improvements for reconciliation
• Regulatory reporting and liaison / managing AML/CFT/Sanctions matters with Group Compliance, risk related matters with GORM( e.g. KRCSA AMLCSA, MRAs, incidents, outsourcing, 3rd party non-outsourcing), assurance review matters with Operations Assurance and audit related matters with Internal & External Auditors.
• Provide/assist in training on risks topics
• MIS reporting for the division
• Other ad hoc assignments

Job Requirements

• Possess knowledge and experience on custody operations, preferably both Settlements and Corporate Action
• Possess knowledge of cash and stock reconciliations
• Possess knowledge of incident investigations and General Ledger Accounts proofing
• Ability to front and manage auditors' requests
• Ability to conduct training for new hires and continuous learning for team.
• Ability to communicate optimally both verbal and written and present issues and possible solutions to management team
• Preferably have team management experience
• Ideally 5-6 years proven working experience in custody operations and/or reconciliation.
• Ability to appreciate and promote risk culture.
• Possess a degree from a university, preferably in Banking or Accounting & Finance.
