Marsh is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Singapore office: Vice President, for Energy & Power Specialty What can you expect? • We are seeking someone who has established themselves within the insurance industry, ideally with a strong bias from one of the following; Power, Energy, Property or Construction Lines.
• The successful candidate will join the team of seven people working for Energy and will be responsible for building client relationships, managing existing book of business and assisting in acquiring new clients.

We will count on you to:

• Identifying clients or prospects risks needs, determining the services, products and combinations that will best serve and address the client/prospect’s issues and objectives
• Effectively developing customised solutions to address the client/prospect needs
• Conduct client business meetings
• Effectively presenting the solutions to the client/prospect
• Negotiate with reinsurers to obtain the best solution to meet client’s needs
• Develop and maintain a strong relationship with reinsurers, to understand their needs and see how we are tailor program structure that provides the optimal outcome for reinsurers

• Participate in new business initiatives
• Work with follow team members to achieve common objective for the team & client
• Coaching & developing the talent of less experienced team members
• Overseeing quality of deliverables and enforcing deadlines on respective accounts where required
• Develop excellent relationship with reinsurers
• Manage challenging situations with both clients and underwriters.

What you need to have:

• 8 to 10 years’ experience in broking and/or reinsurance field.
• Have Certificate in General Insurance (CGI) or equivalent or complete CGI within reasonable period upon employment.
• Relevant specialty experience is not required.
