The Energy Sector team within ING Wholesale Banking is responsible for coverage and developing business with wholesale (institutional) clients in the sector through its teams based in APAC, EMEA, and the Americas. The Energy Sector comprises conventional and renewable power generation, transport and storage and covers activities across the oil & gas value chain. Besides traditional sources of energy (electrons and molecules), the ambition is to be at the forefront of emerging zero-carbon energy systems like green molecules, carbon capture utilization and storage (CCUS) and technologies that provide a solution to the intermittent nature of power generated from solar and wind. This team provides coverage and delivery of client solutions by way of financing and advisory services to leading players in the energy sector globally.Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain strong knowledge of industry trends, banking products, relevant regulations in order to understand the business of the Bank\'s clients and energy transition developments. Responsible for maintaining assigned client relationships.
• Support senior colleagues (Directors, Managing Directors) in the origination of financing (loans, financial markets, transaction services, debt capital markets) and/or project advisory mandates across Asia Pacific, in the energy sector. This includes preparing pitch books and/or financing term sheets.
• Lead due diligence activities, including coordinating lenders\xe2\x80\x99 advisors and reviewing due diligence reports. Liaise with various internal and external stakeholders as necessary.
• Build and/or review detailed financial models for the purposes of project advisory and/or lending mandates; guide junior staff in respect of modelling matters.
• For financing mandates, lead the credit application and documentation process. This includes preparing and/or reviewing credit applications and project financing documentation.
• For project advisory mandates, lead the execution of the mandate, which may include building detailed financial models, preparing structuring, risk analysis, financing presentations and arranging the financing, as required.
• Ensure compliance with Bank\xe2\x80\x99s policies/procedures and regulatory requirements, including Know- Your-Client requirements.

What we\'re looking for:To be considered for this role, the applicant would ideally possess the following pre-requisites:

• Degree holder preferably in Engineering / Economics / Mathematics / Finance / Accounting.
• 5+ years of relevant project finance / investment banking / structured finance / accounting / energy industry experience.
• Strong financial modelling capability including the ability to build detailed financial models.
• Strong analytical capability with preference for candidates comfortable delivering articulate, compelling presentations to internal and external parties.
• Self-starter able to work independently and to multi-task.
• Motivated, a commitment to excellence and having a \xe2\x80\x9ccan do\xe2\x80\x9d attitude.
• Team player who has the ability to build effective working relationships with clients and colleagues.
