Job Description


Our client, a prominent Korean family office, is seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Vice President of Investments to join their growing team in Singapore. Backed by substantial financial resources and driven by an ambitious vision to acquire real estate properties globally, this family office will be a key player in the investment landscape.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying, screening, and executing investment opportunities. The candidate must possess 5-10 years of experience in real estate investments, exhibit strong financial modeling and due diligence skills, and be proficient in both English and Korean.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deal Sourcing and Screening: Identify and assess real estate investment opportunities globally, with a primary focus on real estate properties. Continuously monitor market trends and assess potential deals for alignment with the investment strategy.
  • Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain intricate financial models to evaluate the feasibility, risk, and potential returns of investment opportunities. Ensure that all financial analyses are accurate and align with the organization\'s objectives.
  • Due Diligence: Lead the due diligence process for potential investments, including conducting comprehensive market research, financial analysis, and risk assessments. Collaborate with external advisors, legal teams, and other stakeholders as necessary.
  • Investor Relations: Effectively communicate investment strategies, findings, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders, including family members, board members, and potential investors. Prepare and present investment proposals and reports.
  • Execution and Deal Structuring: Oversee the negotiation and execution of investment transactions. Collaborate with legal and financial teams to structure deals that maximize returns while mitigating risks.
  • Portfolio Management: Monitor the performance of the investment portfolio, identifying opportunities for optimization, and ensuring that all investments align with the long-term objectives of the family office.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to a team of analysts and associates, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in both English and Korean is essential for effective communication with Korean-speaking family members and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in finance, economics, or a related field. MBA or advanced finance degree is a plus.
  • 5-10 years of experience in real estate investment, with a track record of successfully executed deals in the Asia Pacific region.
  • Strong financial modeling skills and expertise in analyzing real estate investments.
  • Exceptional due diligence capabilities and a keen eye for risk assessment.
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English and Korean, enabling effective communication with Korean-speaking stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and mentor a team of professionals.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with investors, partners, and external advisors.
  • A strategic mindset, with the ability to align investment strategies with the long-term goals of the family office.
