The Role This position will be reporting to the Head of Operations System and Control for the Mapletree Group, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Operational Process & Control (OPC) team. The OPC team's vision is to value add by identifying, solutioning operational process improvements as well as advising the Group on policies and procedures that strengthen the Group's overall governance structure and risk culture. This is a role for a strategic and experienced professional who can work across all business and corporate units in analysing, developing and implementing process improvements whilst integrating the appropriate levels of risk and control measures. The role is expected to understand how the Group operates across its global footprint and advise on methods to improve its operational processes and controls. The individual's focus is to support the Group's 5-year plan and identify sustainable and expandable operational setups to achieve the Group's plans. Job Responsibilities Support the Head of OSC in developing, implementing, maintaining and monitoring an integrated assurance risk and control framework that incorporates continuous process improvements Oversee daily operations of the OPC team in executing operational process and governance improvement programs Work closely with all business and corporate units in the Group to facilitate successful operational efficiencies and controls Be a key player in facilitating successful business change initiatives and help define business problems via in-depth investigation and gathering of technical and non-technical information. Once the issues are clearly understood, assist with outlining detailed requirements for a solution and ensuring the delivered solution meets those business requirements. Conduct operational reviews across the various business units globally with a view to enhance and strengthen efficiency and controls Partner with key stakeholders globally such as Finance, Technology, Group Property Management to drive change initiatives and meet the Group's goals and objectives Where feasible, conduct analyses and lead working groups on finding efficiencies across different geographical locations Assist with the review and development of digital solutions to improve operational efficiency and service levels Have a cross-functional view of the core capabilities of the global organization to efficiently execute initiatives Work closely with Technology for the technical implementation, roll-out, commissioning and operation Job Requirements Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, with at least 8 years existing or prior experience in an asset management and/or real estate investment management company Project Management, Business Analysis or Process Improvement skills such as Six Sigma, Lean or Quality Assurance experience preferable Background or experience in operations, risk or compliance Hands-on experience and knowledge in managing change initiatives that redesign, improve existing processes and gain efficiencies Experience in managing and advising on policy governance and process improvement Understands risk and control requirements and can advise on the implementation of appropriate control measures Preferable experience in real estate management processes such as procurement, working with property management companies and vendors Oversee implementation of global governance related policies including conducting gap analyses and execution of management action plans as needed . Experience in delivering complex, cross-functional technical and non-technical related projects A self- starter who is delivery and goal focused, possesses strong communication, interpersonal, presentation and influencing skills Ability to demonstrate conceptual thinking and business analysis skills Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive Can work confidently and collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders globally Preferable international experience working with a cross section of stakeholders in different geographical locations Can also work independently, is pragmatic and is adaptable to working in a diverse, growing organization Has the ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines Some light overseas travel may be required
