Job Responsibilities

  • As a producer in the Singapore FI Sales team, you will be part of a global team that is responsible in driving and ensuring the success of Nomura\'s G10 rates franchise across client segments.
  • With the diversity and the breadth of client segment coverage of the Singapore G10 rates sales team, your addition will increase the intensity and bandwidth of our coverage clients in this region including but not limited to Official Institutions, Banks, Asset Managers and Insurance companies which you will also be involved in, over and above macro hedge fund clients.
  • You will be driving US rates distribution in Asia to international macro clients, as an extension of our offering from NY, to further solidify Nomura\'s leading market presence in this timezone.
  • Leveraging on and in partnership with our Sydney sales and trading team, you will develop a comprehensive client distribution strategy to distribute our market leading AUD rates franchise to outside of APAC in partnership with international sales in other sales centers
  • This team aspires to be the best in class, and this team aspires to do exactly that by driving mindshare and marketshare via provision of quality color and content that will be further solidified with consistent coverage and innovative product solutions. Technical knowledge and ability to push hard and thrive under immense pressure is a pre-requisite. Commercial acumen and ability to spot and capitalize on market opportunities where G10 rates products are concerned will be critical in ensuring your success.
  • In terms of day to day, you will:
  • Engage in pre-trade pricing for clients and after sales service
  • Engage in marketing trade ideas, solutions, and firm\'s capabilities to clients
  • Engage in the preparation of market commentary, client reports and presentations for the team
  • Work very closely with sales and trading teams from across centers including but not limited to Tokyo, Sydney, HKG
  • Work closely with trading, structuring, operations as well as Legal, CRM and AML/KYC teams to ensure smooth execution of trades and timely resolution of any problems arises.
  • Focus on new client acquisition and getting deeper with existing clients
Job Requirements
  • Minimally a Bachelor\'s degree, or foreign equivalent, and above from an accredited tertiary institution
  • Minimally 5 or more years of macro rates sales experience in an established financial institution
  • Minimally 5 years experience covering asset managers, insurance and/or macro clients
  • Track record of P&L and strong knowledge in Rates products - both in cash and derivatives
  • Self-starter, outgoing, energetic, proactive, and possess a positive attitude
  • Able to work independently and coordinate with key stakeholders within the firm
  • Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment, and under pressure
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
