Job Responsibilities:

Purpose of the role

Responsible for promoting a range of MUFG products and services to customers. Responsible for assessing the customers and industries risk to support the team in structuring complex deals to mitigate risk to the Bank as well as reviewing all credit applications for deals within the team to ensure pricing, product offerings and the structuring of the deal is aligned to business strategy. To manage relationship and business development with assigned customers so as to achieve department target.

Lead the promotion of products to customers and identify and promote cross selling opportunities

Manage the delivery of relevant banking services to customers, in own coverage area to meet the department\'s revenue targets.

Build and maintain effective relationships with customers and understand their needs in order to provide a high quality of service.

Anticipate as well as be sensitive to shifting customer expectations and provide recommendations to the wider department on appropriate measures to ensure the Bank stays ahead of competitors.

Develop and maintain strong stakeholder management with key stakeholders both within MUFG and externally.

Work in partnership with Compliance to consult on compliance issues, including but not limited Know Your Customer and Sanctions.

Work in partnership with Credit on any credit issues associated with deals.

Work in partnership with Head Office to understand customers and business to ensure that appropriate advice is provided and meets the requirements of customers transactions to the customer.

Visit customers when required, to represent the business to resolve issues and maintain the customer\xe2\x80\x99s relationship

Support, coach and guide team on complex corporate banking issues.

Review deal proposals and credit applications to ensure pricing, product offerings and the structuring of the deal is aligned to business strategy, delivers a high quality of service to customers and mitigates risk to the Bank.

Structure complex financial solutions that will deliver a high quality of service to customers and mitigates risk for the Bank.

Regularly report the performance of the team against set targets and future pipeline of deals.

Support the team in difficult negotiations with customers including but not limited to contract terms and conditions and pricing, as well as seek commercial solutions to finalise the deal.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and limits.

Support departmental initiatives to deliver increase revenue opportunities and deliver a high quality of service to customers.

Maintain good working knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations.

To advise on investment products concerning OTC derivatives contracts (includes FX Forwards) under Financial Advisers Act (FAA) and To Deal in investment products concerning OTC derivatives contracts (includes FX Forwards) under Securities and Futures Act (SFA)

To handle Embedded loans

Job Requirements:

Minimum 7 years of relationship management/marketing experience within corporate banking industry.

Minimum JLPT N1 Certification or a degree in Japanese university required to manage relationship with Japanese clients and work in partnership with the senior management in Tokyo Head office on credit matters where primary business communication is in Japanese.

Experience in managing a team

Strong communication skills with the ability to influence others and sell products

Strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate with other departments

Strong coaching skills to manage a team.

In-depth knowledge of MUFG\xe2\x80\x99s products and services

Understanding of local laws and regulations

Well organized and efficient time management
