THE POSITION
MGS (Secondary) has an opening the position of Vice-Principal (Administration) and we invite highly motivated and qualified candidates to apply.
As VP (Admin), you will report to the Principal and be responsible for providing Strategic Leadership in formulating, developing and executing corporate services strategy and programmes in support of the overall strategic direction of the school. You are to lead a team of Executive and Administrative Staff (EAS) to uphold service excellence in school and work in close collaboration with the teaching staff to achieve the desired school and educational outcomes. The areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:
Leadership
To set the focus and direction for Corporate Services for the full school, including Administration, Admissions, Human Resource, Operations, Maintenance, Estate Development and Finance and Procurement, in alignment with the school vision, mission and values. You are to lead, coordinate, and drive the relevance of plans for staff and in the areas under your charge. You are to build collaborative partnerships and active engagement as a strategic partner with Board of Management and other key stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
Strategic Planning and Administration
To develop monitor and review strategic goals, plans, practices and processes, driving continuous improvement to meet the school’s short-term and long-term goals. You will also play a key role as strategic partner to the MGS Board of Management by providing advice, guidance and professional support. You are to build collaborative partnerships and active engagement as a strategic partner with other key stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
Human Capital Management and Development
To oversee the management and development of Human Resource, working with Vice-Principals and Key Personnel to chart compensation, career development plans and review and evaluate the performance of all staff. This includes identify training needs, facilitate professional development of staff and act as a mentor to staff for providing guidance, advice and feedback for development.
Process and Resource Management
To provide guidance and support to staff in their work related to Corporate Services matters. This includes designing, collaborating, implementing and monitoring effective policies, programmes and services. You are to lead teams and committees under your charge to review ways for innovation and improvements and support the Principal in the monitoring of school work plans, strategic plans and organisational review.
Estate. Property, Facility and Security management
To oversee the estate, property and facility management, administration and operations and incorporating best practices to ensure a safe, conducive and future-oriented campus and learning environment. You are to ensure appropriate security procedures and measures are in place, including cyber and data security.
