The Virtual Sales Specialist role is a fantastic opportunity to drive technology adoption for Cisco\'s IoT solutions within the APJC region, with a specific focus on the industrial IoT key vertical market. This market is currently experiencing an exciting phase of growth.

As an Industry Specialist, you will play a crucial role in helping both the public and private sectors recognize the importance of secure connectivity within critical infrastructure markets. With trillions of dollars being invested over the next 5-10 years, the modernization of critical infrastructure will have a significant impact worldwide. This includes enabling power grids, developing inquisitive factories, and enhancing the efficiency of transportation systems. Drawing upon your extensive knowledge in key vertical market sectors and complex applications, such as wireless networks, you will work alongside a diverse team of sales and technical specialists. Together, you will provide deep application insights and focus on specific market segments, ultimately accelerating revenue opportunities and exceeding customer expectations.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with leadership and extended teams to identify opportunities for incremental growth within assigned verticals and application-specific segments. By aligning the IoT sales strategy and portfolio with complex deals, funding initiatives, and public-private partnership opportunities, you will contribute to the acceleration of the industrial IoT portfolio in exciting new ways.

Required Skills:

  • Experience selling to industrial and/or multi-national accounts
  • Expertise in specific applications and ecosystems related to autonomous applications
  • Strong background in technology sales, particularly handling large and complex deals
  • Ability to quickly build relationships with cross-functional teams and senior-level associates
  • Comfort working in an agile, high-growth, and fast-paced team environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to document processes effectively
  • Desire to build something new within an established business
  • Experience in planning, scheduling, and driving industry-specific events
Desired Skills:
  • Extensive experience selling IIoT hardware or platforms, establishing yourself as an authority in the field
  • Experience selling industrial networking solutions to both IT and OT buyers
  • Cross-industry experience, particularly in Utilities, Transportation, Manufacturing, Energy/Oil & Gas, and Material Handling
  • Strong working knowledge of industrial networking, physical security, and wireless networks

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate\'s hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Applicants may not be eligible for the full salary range based on their U.S. hiring location. U.S. employees have to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco pays at the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue attainment against the quota up to 100%. Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
