Preparation and Posting of Journal Entries: Accurately prepare and post all necessary journal entries to the financial ledger, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and timely recording of all financial transactions.
Reconciliations of Voyage-Related Accounts: Conduct thorough reconciliations of all accounts related to voyages, including revenues, expenses, and other voyage-specific financial activities, to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Review of Voyage Results for Accuracy and Adjustments: Carefully review the financial results of each voyage for accuracy, making any necessary adjustments to reflect true financial performance and rectify discrepancies.
Regulatory Compliance and Audit Preparedness: Maintain readiness for regulatory audits by ensuring that all financial records are accurate, complete, and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Prepare necessary documentation and support for audit processes.
Performing Intercompany Reconciliations: Execute detailed reconciliations of intercompany transactions and balances to ensure consistency and accuracy across related entities, addressing any variances or discrepancies.
Processing Voyage Insurance: Manage the processing of voyage insurance, including the coordination of coverage, claim submissions, and follow-up, ensuring that all insurance matters are handled efficiently and effectively.
Maintenance of Accurate Financial Data: Maintain the integrity of financial data by ensuring that all records are accurate, up-to-date, and properly documented. This includes continuous monitoring and updating of financial information to reflect current business activities.
Requirements:
Diploma and above in Accounting, Finance, or business-related degree.
Minimum 3 years\' experience working in a similar role, preferably in a Trading House.
Knowledge in using accounting software or excel and ERP, preferably IMOS and Microsoft Business Central.
Experienced with intercompany or profit center setups
