Job Responsibilities
Mizuho Bank is seeking an experienced compliance professional to join a newly formed team to manage compliance risk for the Asia-Pacific region. The APAC Compliance Chief of Staff Office will support the APAC Chief Compliance Officer in the regional compliance programme management and coordination including stakeholder communication.

Key responsibilities

• Support and assist the APAC CCO and APAC Compliance Chief of Staff in the design, development, delivery and execution of best in class compliance framework and programme
• Support efforts to enhance use of compliance technology and automation
• Simplify processes as necessary
• Drive regional consistency and establish minimum standards
• Provide support and guidance to country compliance teams
• Build strong and effective relationships with stakeholders
• Serve as compliance interface with Technology, country compliance teams and other stakeholders

Job Requirements

• Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent
• At least 6-10 years experience in compliance, technology or other controls related function in the financial services industry
• Knowledge and expertise in the design and implementation of compliance programmes.
• Experience with implementation of compliance technology systems and tools
• Good understanding of banking products, services and processes
• Ability to manage projects
• Highly motivated team player
• Strong analytical, communication and people skills, ability to lead, influence and collaborate with people across different cultures and backgrounds
• Adaptable, resilient and passionate about making a difference
• Experience dealing with complex issues, forward-looking, solutions oriented, ability to be hands-on
