We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure.Our Operations divisions provide transactional customer services for our businesses while also focusing on cost efficiency through process improvements, automation and straight through processing.Job ResponsibilitiesThe Group Business Technology (GBT) team provides IT application services for the Bank. We leverage on best practices in business solutions delivery, design and development to meet the Bank\'s vision and business objectives. Our strategy is primarily driven by the long-term and short-term business strategies and objectives of the Bank. Our strategic focus is to align IT with the Business, create flexibility and capacity in IT infrastructure, and consolidate for scale, time to market and risk management.Within GBT, the Cash & Payments technology team is responsible for all aspects of the cash & payments processing application portfolio, including:

  • Defining the application end state and transition plan aligning to overall architecture roadmap
  • Delivering all IT solutions and enhancements.
  • Ensuring highly available and scalable system capabilities to accommodate business growth
  • Managing risk and security aspects of the application portfolio
As part of major investment program over the next few years significant enhancements, transformation and upgrades of the current payments pre-processing platform is planned.As part of Payments and Realtime Data Services and Open API (PRO) team, reporting to the Platform Lead,, this role is responsible for all day-to-day aspects of software design, application development, integration and release management activities including:
  • Application software development and support activities from pre-project initiation, functional specifications to development, implementation, testing and post go-live support
  • Ensure oversight and accountability on technical deliverables (internal teams and vendor deliverables) and conformance to quality standards.
  • Work with a team of subject matter experts, architects and software developers to deliver projects and change requests via in-house development or vendor
  • Manage 3rd party vendors and integration partners to ensure application deliveries are timely and good quality.
  • Ensure the vendor deliverables adhere to quality standards. Drive automation efficiencies in driving quality standards through use of automated code scanning, vulnerability assessments and testing
  • Evaluate current technical architecture, implementation and if required reverse engineer existing application code to identify pain points and drive solutions to align to the overall architecture blue print and roadmap
  • Define and manage technical solution from design through to code level
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills and technical problem solving skills
  • Provide hands-on guidance to the team on functional and technical issues
  • Partnere with business stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide consultation on solution and technology.
  • Lead and contribute to cross-team improvement initiatives relating to agile methods, CI/CD tools, people, architecture, project management and governance, including further adoption and improvements to the Bank\'s System Development Methodology (SDM)
Job Requirements
  • More than 8 years\' strong hands on experience in Java with at least 2 years on Java 1.8 and 2-3 years\' experience in Restful API\'s, micro services, sprint boot, Hibernate, React JS and integrating open source libraries and Oracle 19C
  • Experience in development of cash management / payments / trade products is an advantage (eg: Finastra cash management (BIBPlus))
  • Data-oriented approach to analysing problem trends, identity root cause and fix it permanently
  • Experience in Application performance troubleshooting , performance tuning and optimization
  • Collaborate with L3 and L2 team on Production issues and take lead in bringing together the right resources to troubleshoot and fix critical issues
  • Manage and support weekend deployment for releases
  • Good understanding and experience in various software development cycle methodologies, including migrating from Waterfall to Agile methodologies
