About the Department

The Retail function provides Personal and Business Banking customers with financial solutions tailored to their needs. We help them manage their money wisely and meet their financial goals through an extensive range of products and services. These include deposit, insurance, secured and unsecured loans, investment and wealth advisory services.

Personal Financial Services

We design and provide products and services that empower our customers to enjoy greater banking convenience while they extract more value from their money. In particular, we are focused on promoting and developing healthy saving and investment practices across generations.

Job Responsibilities

The Business Analyst will be responsible for managing all aspects of the financial reporting and analytics of the Singapore Credit Management Division. Specific responsibilities include:

\xc2\xb7 Prepare regular and ad-hoc financial reporting and MIS analysis including loss forecasting and budgeting

\xc2\xb7 Oversee and monitor key performance indicators and create informative and accurate reports to facilitate decision-making

\xc2\xb7 Manage data analytics processes and other techniques to develop quality and sophisticated business and forecast models including dashboard reporting

\xc2\xb7 Monitoring delinquency performance and early identification of problem areas

-Support regular monthly/ quarterly report generation for Credit Risk/ Scorecard Monitoring and Portfolio Reports/Non-Risk Reports

\xc2\xb7 Perform data extraction or preparation from users/ various systems to support ad-hoc

\xc2\xb7 Support and perform scorecard monitoring reports and be able to assist in script preparation

\xc2\xb7 Support and generate other Non-Risk reports and administrative MIS, assisting in manual process and investigation.

\xc2\xb7 Assist in documentation for reporting docs and report related docs

\xc2\xb7 Participate in User Acceptance Tests for MIS related projects

Job Requirements

  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in Data Analytics in Consumer Credit, Finance, Risk Management, Decision Science, and MIS reporting, preferably within a banking/financial services environment.
  • A strong communicator with excellent presentation, project management, interpersonal and influencing skills, and is able to work in dynamic, fast paced, sometimes unstructured environments.
  • Team player who can work well with cross functional teams in UOBS, good communication skills (verbal and written) and self-motivated. Ability to collaborate with other business partners and stakeholders to address key business challenges and opportunities
  • Self starter, flexible with a proven ability to lead teams, as well as being able to take ownership and drive projects to completion
  • Strong background with data analysis and exposure to reporting systems and tools
  • Good computing skills: SAS - Programming, Enterprise Guide, Enterprise Miner; SQL and database familiarity. Familiarity with Tableau/Qlikview is an added advantage.
  • Excellent communicator (verbal and written) and meticulous.
