Job Responsibilities

About COO Office:

The COO office provides various business critical functions for the group such as PMO (Project Management Office) governance, Program and Project Management for strategic projects, Business operations support, Financial Management and drives the group\'s change management initiatives.
Job description:
The role reports to Head of PMO & Business Ops and will be responsible for working with relevant stakeholders to drive strategic change management initiatives for the group, and from time to time, support the Business Leads to deliver on key strategic projects in the role of Business Project Manager.

Responsibilities:

1) Business Project Manager for Strategic projects
In this role, the incumbent will report to the Business Lead of the project and be accountable for managing the scope, timeline and resources of business streams of work which include but are not limited to Marketing and customer communications, regulatory approvals, 3rd party partnerships, training, establishing target operating models (TOMs) and managing the dependencies with tech build of the project

  • Identify the business streams of work to be done by working with the business SMEs
  • Establish scope, timelines, ownership, risks and dependencies for each stream of work based on user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements
  • Track & report progress on each stream
  • Escalate as necessary, especially the dependencies with the tech build
2) Change management
  • Build on the innovation and learning culture of UOB TMRW by driving new initiatives to deepen employee engagement
  • Developing talent within the group by working with the business leads to identify the development needs for their staff and developing and rolling out the training, skills upgrade & cross-function rotation programs
  • Contribute to the strategic goal of Agile transformation by developing awareness of Agile principles and Ways of Working across all functions and management levels of UOB and the continuous assessment of UOB TMRW group\'s Agile maturity and implement action plans for its continuous improvement.
  • Drive UOB TMRW\'s Operational Excellence Mission which is to deliver a high quality product with faster time to market through a highly engaged workforce and continuous improvements in the Way We Work.
Job Requirements
  • Master\'s or Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar relevant field
  • Work experience of more than 2 years as a Business Analyst / Project Manager with proven track record of managing complex projects with different levels of stakeholders from multiple teams/departments, within budget and timeline
  • Work experience in Consumer Banking or parallel industry is preferred
  • A relevant project/program management qualification (e.g. Agile, PRINCE2, PMI) OR equivalent Agile certification (Eg. PSPO I)
  • In-depth working knowledge of Agile process and principles
  • Highly analytical and structured in approach to problem solving Ability to deal efficiently with escalations and difficult situations/people under pressure
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision (verbal & written)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Pays high attention to details, is process oriented and values process efficiency
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities
Travel within the region may be required from time to time
