About the role:
This role within the Group Consumer Banking Group (CBG) Credit Risk team supports Team Head, Consumer Credit Approval, Acquisition and Partnership. This role's primary focus is on driving continuous control enhancement, process improvement, and organizational learning to ensure compliance with internal policies and external risk requirements across six locations.
Incumbent's main Group CBG Credit functional role covering across all 6 locations is as follow: * Consumer Credit Risk Management Control Function:

• Risk and Control: Champion a strong risk culture by actively identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks, thereby safeguarding CBG Credit process integrity and ensuring compliance with all internal policies/standards and external regulatory frameworks.
• Regulatory and Audit Engagement: Understand, collaborate and ensure timely and comprehensive responses to audit and regulatory inquiries on CBG Credit
• Issue Management & Remediation: Evaluate the impact and implications of audit and regulatory findings across Gorup and Location CBG Credit. Engage regional and location stakeholders to align priorities and drive effective solutions. Lead the development, prioritization, and execution of robust remediation plans, and institutionalized learnings through 'lesson learnt; documentation to strengthen future practices
• Consumer Credit Functions process optimization and improvement: Establish and execute a comprehensive oversight function that proactively identifies control weaknesses, monitors key risk indicators, and leads cross-functional efforts to mitigate risk. Leverage on functional expertise and data analytics to inform and drive sustainable process optimization and improvement initiatives.
• Consumer Credit Functions Taxonomy: Establish and continuously enhance a comprehensive credit function taxonomy to enable robust assessment of productivity and effectiveness across CBG Credit locations.
• Professional development of CBG Credit team members: Drive the conceptualization and implementation of bespoke Consumer Credit training modules and development plans that upskill/reskill team members to be future ready.

Requirements:

• University Degree with at least 8 years of working experience in Consumer Credit.
• Robust control experience, adept at identifying, assessing, mitigating, and monitoring risks within a dynamic environment
• Possess strong portfolio and analytical skills with demonstrated ability to conceptualize and clearly communicate the analytical findings, both in writing and verbally.
• Deep understanding of Consumer Credit life cycle.
• Decisive and solution focused. Possess strong analytical skills, highly numerate with the ability to collect, organize and analyse significant amount of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to synergise, prioritise and drive results with a sense of urgency.
• Effective communication and writing skills.
• Team-player and good interpersonal skills
• Independent and self-motivated individual with a strong inquisitive mindset and quest for learning
• Good grasp of credit fundamentals in consumer lending
• Strong control assessment experience
• Able to analyse risk-reward dynamics of consumer products with use of data-driven analytics.
• Able to engage cross-functional team to work on tasks.
• Competent in the use of Python as well as MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Demonstrate strong understanding of regulations, internal controls, and risk management principles.
