Build and manage the team responsible for initiatives pertaining to solutions across different business lines the involve the use of large volumes of internal and external data to draw insights.
Manage a team of professionals based in Singapore and India to execute and deliver solutions using a standard set of technologies to derive the required outcomes.
Implement regional enterprise-wide solutions across multiple locations closely engaging with the business counterparts.
Liaise with the businesses to handle the demand for the improvements and work with the application teams to maintain the required resource pool for delivery
Work with the business to look into the modeling of the database required to enable storage, retention and normalization of the information to be stored based on the sources required for the insights to be formed
Provide the guidance using the tools required to transform the data and create needed visualization
Provide the solutions needed for data ingestion in an automated manner
Liaise with other application teams to source data regionally in a consistent manner.
Enable the business units to be self-sufficient in drawing information using the toolset available
Put the required processes in place for the overall data management solution to function in a production environment.
Get into the details of the solution and design aspects so that the solutions provided are scalable and handle the performance requirements of the business.
Liaise with the team in the Head Office to align to global data management roadmap and strategy
Maintain the pipeline for delivery in the year and work with the stakeholders to prioritize demand based on the capacity to deliver.
Handle the budgets required for all the project and BAU activities for the team and ensure the project budgets and expenses are managed within the KPI\xe2\x80\x99s set.
Ensure the stability of the systems in the production environment for uninterrupted service to our business.
Participate in production incident calls to offer remediation for any disruption of service and ensure service restoration in the quickest time possible.
Requirements:
At least 8 - 10 years of IT work experience in the area of application development putting together and leading teams based onsite OR remotely would be required.
Working knowledge of ETL tools like Alteryx with knowledge of the product in a desktop and server-based deployment is important.
Experience in visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, Qlikview or their equivalent will be very relevant to this role.
Prior experience in the banking environment implementing solutions related to data management specifically for the frontline and sales personnel.
Analytical mindset to understand through conversations with the business, the data structures and relationships to be designed for a regional view of customer specific information.
Should have practical project management experience to be able to plan, track and drive delivery of solutions on time and within budget.
Must be hands-on to get into the details of country/ business specific variations to drive standardization of the applications.
Technically competent to be able to get into the details of the designing of the solution liaising with our internal teams and vendors.
Good technical skills and working knowledge of Python and databases that can handle structured and unstructured data.
Familiarity with Apache Hadoop having worked on projects handling large volumes of data would be useful.
Experience in liaising with off-shore teams, infrastructure teams and other personnel for implementation of solutions.
