About the Department

UOB Travel began as a small travel agency in 1974 and has grown in size and reputation through dedicated professionalism and service excellence. In 1990, UOB Travel became a wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore\'s leading international banking group - the United Overseas Bank Group . As such, UOB Travel is in the unique position of being the only travel agency in Singapore to have sound financial backing, reliability and security.

Job Responsibilities

• Overseeing all technology operations and evaluating them according to established goals
• Implementing executive policies and overseeing technical projects in alignment with organizational goals
• Devising and establishing IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management
• Analyzing the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs
• Developing and overseeing SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, time-based) metrics for hardware, software, storage
• Identifying and eliminating security vulnerabilities with strategic solutions that increase data security
• Directing the effective delivery of networks, development and disaster recovery systems and processes
• Directing and supporting the implementation of new software and hardware
• Identifying and recommending new technology solutions
• Overseeing departmental finances, including budgeting and forecasting
• Researching and recommending new products
• Identifying new market opportunities
• Leading efforts to improve IT processes

Job Requirements

• Preferably with travel related IT background
• Preferably with knowledge of GDS
• Minimum 10 years of experience in IT project management
• Pleasant & patient and able to work under pressure & strong inter-personal skills
• Experience in leading and managing others, coaching, leadership and motivational skills
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Good communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Fluent spoken English, good written communication skills
• Highly motivated & result-oriented and has a passion for challengesMust be an excellent team player and focused on achieving team goals
