Division Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with institutional clients to sell primary and secondary fixed income securities, EM rates govies, reverse repos/repos, FX, Total Return Swaps, derivatives and related products.
  • Provide market insight and analysis to clients and collaborate with research teams to produce market commentary and analysis.
  • Work with relevant product partners in Credit Trading, Rates Trading, Collateral Swap Management and FX Teams to capture alpha opportunities, bid/offer spreads and axes movement whilst facilitating client flows.
  • Provide customized solutions to clients that address their investment needs and risk preferences
  • Execute trades on behalf of clients in a timely and efficient manner
  • Collaborate with other internal teams, including trading, research, and operations, to ensure smooth execution of trades and efficient client service
  • Keep up to date with market developments and regulatory changes that impact fixed income and FX markets and communicate those changes to clients. Prepare customized sales presentations to large and complex clients utilizing knowledge of the market and global macro and technical content.
  • Conduct marketing trips, client meetings (locally and overseas) to onboard new clienteles and promote the brand name of the firm through seminars, events and day to day interactions and to uphold the brand name at all time.
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of foreign exchange products and services by initiating frequent contact with other financial or competitor institutions, partners, and keeping abreast of laws and regulations affecting the industry.
  • Should be familiar with different client segments for example, Asset Management companies, Banks and Non-Bank Financial institutions, public offices such as central banks and sovereign wealth funds, endowment funds, life insurance companies etc.
  • Immediate reporting of errors and/or losses concerning FX related transactions and adherence to the FX Code of Conduct in performing duties as a guide.
  • Ensures that best practices are followed and implemented (Compliance, Legal, CRM, Call Reports, Derivatives Marketing, Presentations)
Qualifications

The ideal Candidate will meet the following requirements:
  • University degree and have a 6+ years work experience in either Credit Fixed Income and/or FX Sales role.
  • Deep understanding of fixed income markets, securities repo lending, interest rates, and macroeconomic factors affecting global FX trends and flow. Strong product knowledge on OTC derivatives including NDF, FX Spot, Forward and Options
  • Experience with sell side order management systems, algorithmic trading strategies. Liaise with Credit Trading, EM Rates, Collateral Swaps Management, eFX Trading, Sales, Quants, IT, Ops and Compliance to manage Product Development and parameter optimisation of existing and new products on both the front-end and the back-end.
  • Previous experience of having managed a portfolio of clients, good track records in meeting targets in revenue, clientele growth and brand name building. Excellent communication, sales prospecting & presentation skills required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Input transactions in the different Front Office systems (BBG TOMS, Murex, Marketaxxes, Markit wire)
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Preparing pitches for clients meetings and help to monitor pipeline and reporting for the team
  • Working closely with traders to establish any gaps and maximise opportunities to drive additional incremental revenues
  • Working closely with compliance to ensure best business practices and regulations are met
