The VP, Marketing, High-Growth Markets is responsible for developing, managing, and executing a compelling multi-segment marketing strategy that aligns with organizational objectives to meet/exceed business revenue/margin goals. The VP, Marketing, HGM will lead the organization through the development of regional/segment strategy and develop annual marketing plans to ensure alignment across the commercial organization. Additionally, the VP, Marketing, High Growth Markets will have the opportunity to build impactful programs, campaigns, deliver the Go-to-Market plans, and partner with cross-functional leaders to shape overall short- and long-term strategy.

This position is part of Worldwide Marketing and will be Remote in one of these specific locations: Saudi Arabia or Singapore. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Deliver and execute upon strategic marketing plan by driving commercial strategy and direct marketing plans for HGM geographies (Latin America, Middle East & Africa, APAC)
  • Direct and prioritize Marketing programs and deliverables as well as monitor market data to identify market trends and opportunities
  • Partner with other Marketing functions, Product Management, MedSci, and Sales, to ensure the successful performance of on-market products and new product launches
  • Drive awareness and demand for Cepheid products and services through direct and review advertising and promotional materials, including print and online media
  • Direct content for outbound marketing campaigns via digital marketing channels and oversee tradeshows (planning, activities, collateral, lead generation, etc.)
  • Achieve business objectives and revenue targets by driving lead generation and acceleration of opportunities into the sales funnel as well as map initiatives and tools to the customer buying journey
  • Hire, develop, motivate, and retain top performing team by building and developing a world-class marketing team committed to high standards of achievement
The essential requirements of the job include
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with 20+ years of experience OR Master\xe2\x80\x99s/Doctoral degree with 18+ years of experience AND 6+ years managing people
  • Requires frequent travel of up to 50% and may include some international travel
  • Experience working directly with thought leaders in relevant areas is required
  • Demonstrated experience in translating clinical value into marketing messages across lab, clinical/healthcare provider, health system, and patient segments
  • Experience across multiple marketing functions
  • Demonstrated knowledge of products and their application
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
  • Strategic marketing and planning experience is preferred
  • Communicates effectively and strong team player/collaborator with various internal constituents, customers, and other stakeholders
  • Excellent presentation skills; able to multi-task across a broad number of products and disease states
