  • Adecco is partnering with an insurance MNC to look for a VP, Regulatory Reporting
  • Starts off as a 12 months contract
The Talent
  • 8-10 years of relevant working experience in the Finance, Risk & Compliance, Actuarial or Audit functions
  • Experience in Regulatory reporting in the insurance industry would be a preferred.
  • Understanding of core principles of IFRS4 & 17 is beneficial.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with a diverse group of colleagues at different levels.
  • Possess good understanding of SOX, audit, compliance and risk requirements.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business circumstances at pace is required.
The Job
  • Working as part of the wider Regulatory Reporting team supporting the implementation of Finance Reporting Risk and Control framework by:
  • Supporting the end-to-end review of the regulatory reporting process
  • Establishing appropriate regulatory reporting controls applicable to downstream regulatory reporting processes based on risk assessments to ensure that the Group's Regulatory Reporting Framework is met and fully adhered to at site Finance level.
  • Liaising with Finance & Actuarial teams to ensure that all key risks within their activities and operations are identified, mitigated, and monitored by an appropriate control environment that is commensurate with risk appetite under the Integrity of Regulatory Reporting 'IRR' framework.
  • Providing effective governance, challenging and reporting of key risks and controls within Finance.
  • Monitoring the ongoing effectiveness of key controls to gain assurance that they are operating in line with risk appetite, regulatory and the bank's requirements. This includes developing monitoring plan, monitoring progress against plan, executing control monitoring, reporting results and developing action plans.
  • Monitoring the on-time completion of issues remediation and assessing adequacy of remediation actions are sufficiently address the risk implications. Issues include self-identified issues by Finance, audit findings, internal control issues, and regulatory observations.
  • Building effective working relationships within the Finance team at both a local and group level.
  • Required to engage regularly with other stakeholders including second line Risk function and Compliance teams, to ensure effective communication and timely resolution of issues as an integral part of the Regulatory Reporting Risk monitoring.
  • There may occasionally be exposure to other non-control related activities as well as involvement in coordinating audit activities, assurance review activities, preparing Board papers and other regulatory initiatives.
