VP, Senior Compliance Team Lead
Leading securities firm seeks a senior compliance manager at VP level to lead a team of five compliance officers. Ideal candidate will have in-depth regulatory knowledge of MAS SFA rules and regulations as well as cross-border exposure. Exposure to regulations outside of Asia, such as UK, Europe and US, useful.
Key Accountabilities:
- Reporting to the Head of Legal & Compliance, you will lead a small team to further develop and strengthen relevant compliance frameworks, tools and techniques and promote a culture of compliance.
- Ensure the organisation's compliance with all applicable local and international laws and regulations, particularly the Securities & Futures Act. This includes compliance risk assessment, compliance training, compliance reviews (incorporating staff dealing controls) and self-assessments.
- Participate in constructive and effective relationships with regulators.
- Provide compliance advice to business and support units for complex initiatives with significant regulatory implications.
- Promote and facilitate robust Compliance frameworks, processes and awareness throughout the organisation
- Compliance professionals with 15+ years of experience gained from investment banking, brokerage or securities trading.
- Early career in MAS favourable
- Team leadership experience
- Track record of facing off to senior management (C-suite)
