Responsibilities
1. Drive Midcap & SME Sustainability Strategic Direction & Roadmap
\xc2\xb7 As the regional business champion for Sustainability, the role will help strategically drive the sustainability agenda for the midcap and SME business for the Bank across the key markets (especially Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Indonesia and India), develop the content resource, toolkits and training, to drive advocacy & engagement to enterprises; align with DBS\xe2\x80\x99 vision of building \xe2\x80\x9cthe best bank for a better world”. The role will not only contribute to robust sustainable finance implementation but also to fostering a culture of sustainability within IBG and beyond.
2. Drive Sustainability Partnership & Collaborations
\xc2\xb7 Curate focused ESG partnerships with commercial outcomes leveraging on Data on leads conversion & Digital capabilities to expand new green business opportunity and to acquire new SME customers for green product and services.
\xc2\xb7 Manage ESG strategic partners and drive Midcap and SME Decarbonisation Programme to onboard green solution providers / partners to accelerate SME towards sustainability and net zero ambition, uplift in sales & revenue generation.
\xc2\xb7 Drive regional sustainable financing take ups and increase market share and green asset portfolio. Execute green initiatives, vertical and horizontal innovations for A/c Origination & sustainability / sustainability linked loans Business.
3. Sustainable Business Enabler
\xc2\xb7 Advise and structure sustainable finance transactions (i.e., green, social, blue, transition and KPI-linked financing) suitable to client needs, from developing the proposal to executing the transaction.
\xc2\xb7 Conduct research on sustainability topics, including climate risk, biodiversity, environmental and social practices in the region and internationally, to name a few.
\xc2\xb7 Keep abreast of industry best practices, trends and issues, communicating, training and raising awareness to internal stakeholders.
\xc2\xb7 Work closely with internal stakeholders to implement and promote the Responsible Financing Standard and associated Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) guidelines and integrating them into the client origination, credit approval, and overall decision-making process.
\xc2\xb7 Develop pipelines and tracking, provide support with review and update of sustainability-related resources and regulation changes to management, products & RMs
\xc2\xb7 Develop campaigns and events for sustainability outreach, collate and analyse sustainable finance and other data/databases.
\xc2\xb7 Develop, coordinate and deliver relevant trainings.
4. Stakeholder Engagement
\xc2\xb7 Serve as a point of contact for engagements with regulators, governmental agencies, industry associations, NGOs and other relevant agencies/bodies on sustainability matters and where required, collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure appropriate responses and communication.
5. Performance Reporting
\xc2\xb7 Work with internal stakeholders to collate information for regular management reporting, e.g. Sustainability Cadence and Country Review.
