About the Department

Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations.

We have centralized and standardized the technology components into Singapore, creating a global footprint which can be utilized for supporting our regional subsidiaries and the branches around the world. We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure.

Our Operations divisions provide transactional customer services for our businesses while also focusing on cost efficiency through process improvements, automation and straight through processing.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a high-performing System Analyst to join the Cards Technology System Analysis team to support the Group\'s strategy in building a world-class technology organization while embracing a culture of diversity and inclusion. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technology leadership in designing Cards solutions for the delivery of strategic card projects and for building application systems globally and in conjunction with the other Cards application development teams and technology groups. The candidate should be able to conceptualize the UOB cards programs delivery from inception through implementation and deliver solutions in production across the Cards technology stack. He/she needs to ensure alignment with the UOB cards technology standards in the design and execution of projects.

• Work closely with business users / functional business analysts to analyze requirement, perform impact analysis and refine business requirement for change request to strategic project to large scale Card migration program.
• Translate the requirement insights as user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria
• Understand and contribute to the technical solution from design through to code level.
• Explore the possibility to re-use/enhance existing solutions to meet business requirements
• Ensure cross functional analysis is carried out by tapping into collective knowledge of Business Analysis practice & other technology teams
• Contribute to maintaining repository of features inventory and data maps for the domain space
• Establish E0 sizing and Tshirt sizing by connecting business needs, requirements with solution options and dependency factors
• Prepare Functional Specification Document (FSD) and ensuring documentation provided meets bank\'s documentation standards
• Identify non-functional requirements and incorporating into FSD
• Coordinate with Application Development teams to L1 Sizing validation
• Work with design and testing teams to ensure that the requirements and solutions are correctly understood, refined as well as being translated into equivalent deliverables at each stage of execution
• Work with Testing Team to ensure comprehensive and effective test strategy is developed and executed to ensure code delivered meets business requirement, taking into consideration test data design and the system parameter design.
• Work with Business Testing Teams to ensure UAT testing plan is comprehensive and effective
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to resolve identified defects / explain / clarify system functionality.
• Assist Project Manager to monitor project progress to ensure project is delivered on time.
• Work with vendor to ensure product deliveries are timely and good quality.
• Work effectively with remote teams, with a focus on fostering positive working relationships

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a dependable and result oriented technology delivery manager who can comfortably work in a large development organization in a globally distributed, dynamic work environment that fosters diversity, teamwork, and collaboration. He/she should be passionate about Technology and have a mindset to be technically hands-on if needed. Well-versed in the latest trends, especially around disruptive technology, and proven record in execution. The ability to work and thrive in high pressure environment is essential. This role will report to the Cards Technology System Analyst Team Lead for the technical delivery of strategic projects.

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum of 15 years of technology experience with at least 8 years System Analyst capacity in the cards application domain on a mainframe platform.
• Minimum of 5 years System Analyst capacity in Authorization\xef\xbc\x8cSettlement and Collections processing
• Strong technical/platform knowledge on CardLink / VisionPlus, mainframe (CICS / Cobol) and distributed platforms. Good functional knowledge of cards to design and develop effective / efficient solutions in meeting business requirements is essential
• Experience with large scale Cards migration on Cardlink or cryptography will be advantageous
• Proven experience to project manage a team of System Analyst and vendors in ensuring timely delivery of system enhancement of varying scales
• Good working knowledge skills with Microsoft Office Products, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Project.
• Concise understanding of the system development life cycle
• Effective people leader with good interpersonal skills.

• Ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure
