Job Description


Business Function Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels. Responsibilities

  • Conduct monthly financial review meetings with Platform & Technology leads, providing insight analysis on variances, trends, highlighting potential risks & opportunities
  • Prepare Q2 forecast & year-end budgets on technology spend & resources
  • Track and support strategic initiatives which includes monitoring actual spending of project budget (e.g., within pre-designated categories like Software, Hardware, PS, Travel, Expenses, etc; and ensure correct & consistent accounting treatment CAPEX/OPEX has been applied)
  • Forecast invoice processing based on work to be delivered (e.g., agreed payment milestones, project phasing) or persistent resources (e.g., monthly squad burndown)
  • Work with central PMO/FMO/VMO team to accrue expenses for work delivered
  • Deep understanding of the project management office processes & recommend process improvements or simplifications
  • Work closely with project teams on developing business cases
  • Maintain and manage vendor agreements, contracts, invoices, payments and recovery.
  • Collaborate with finance team to perform all associate activities and prepare appropriate summaries within required timeframe.
  • Validate actuals against forecast and carry out corrective actions if required to ensure proper financial discipline.
  • Review processes and ensure adherence to all policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting with 5 to 10+ years relevant experience
  • Solid business acumen with expertise in managing financial processes including financial planning, forecasting, budgeting & project management
  • Detail oriented, proactive problem solver with strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and analyse data from multiple sources
  • Strong collaborative skills and ability to build relationships across diverse stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, self-started and demonstrated ability working independently and under minimum supervision
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Broad conceptual thinking and work-planning skills
  • Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VBA a plus) and PowerPoint
