Job Description


Business FunctionDBS Institutional Banking Group (IBG) provides corporate customers with a full range of commercial banking and investment banking products and services. Within IBG, the Midcap Consumer Products, Professional Services and Healthcare & Pharmaceutical (CPPSHP) team assists clients with their full range of corporate and investment banking requirements including corporate financing and advisory services including but not limited to trade finance, working capital finance, ESG loans, syndicated facilities and such other term loans which could be in the form of bilateral, club or syndicated facilities; cash management solutions and services comprising liquidity management solutions, digital/API solutions across account types such as operating current accounts, time deposits and escrow accounts; treasury solutions including interest rate, cross-currency, foreign exchange and energy commodity hedging solutions. Investment banking products and advisory services across the entire capital structure from equity (private and public) to debt (bonds / bank debt) to strategic advisory services ranging from M&A (including capital optimisation) to Sustainable Finance Advisory.   • Directly driving and contribute to the team\xe2\x80\x99s P&L performance by managing the loan portfolio and account management requirement of CPPSHP clients in Singapore.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for existing client portfolio with product partners, with at least semi-annual reviews and with focus on IBG digital agenda to cross-sell new cash management & supply chain mandates and IBG sustainability agenda to capture sustainability advisory, loans and capital markets opportunities demonstrating an understanding of the client\xe2\x80\x99s business needs by generating suitable solutions and support clients\xe2\x80\x99 connectivity expansion to other DBS geographies.
  • Formulate, identify and execute strategies to acquire New-to-Bank client targets and to develop new portfolios in building the team\xe2\x80\x99s franchise and P&L.
  • Grow portfolio earnings and enhance portfolio ROE through cross-sell of Cash, Trade, Treasury & Markets and Investment Banking including Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets and Strategic Advisory) products and solutions.
  • Ensure proper management of existing portfolio of customers across products especially for large accounts with heavy demand on day-to-day operational handling.
  • Proactive monitoring and management of accounts, being alert to credit deterioration or improvement, and taking timely action including elevation to senior management and Credit.
  • Conceptualize and undertake corporate finance analysis, including capital structure analysis, valuation analysis and comparables
  • Ensure timely submission of RFPs, pitches, meeting deal execution timelines, credit memos and supervision reports.
  • Evaluation and prepare financial models with P&L, B/S & cash-flow projections based on sound business and market assumptions with high level of competence.
  • Ensure regular client engagement supported by timely pre-meeting briefing notes with relevant talking points and actionable call reports.
  • Ensure and support accurate and relevant high-quality pitches to clients by product partners.
  • Preparation of credit memos in a clear, accurate, timely and coherent manner supported by in-depth analysis, synthesised insights and recommendations.
  • Assist in the execution of different strategic initiatives.
  • Independently lead loan & security documentation and negotiations with good degree of competence.
  • Assist in industry related research and strategy exercises such as development of new growth areas, country strategiesand industry benchmarking.
Requirements
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree with minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Consumer Product / Professional Services / Healthcare & Pharmaceutical sector.
  • Relevant experience as a Corporate Banker in relationship management of Midcap and/or Large Corporation clients.
  • Strong credit and financial analytical skills with the ability to independently prepare financial models, cashflow analysis,debt capacity analysis for complex lending structures
  • Demonstrates a strong grasp of financing, hedging instruments and capital market solutions for Midcap and/or large corporates in Consumer Product / Professional Services / Healthcare & Pharmaceutical sector.
  • Demonstrate ability to undertake industry level research, with good writing and presentation skills.
  • Proven credit skills and ability to engage senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Articulate and confident in public presentation and pitches.
  • Experience of working with databases such as Capital IQ and proficiency in MS Excel and Power Point will be anadvantage.
  • Demonstrate people leadership and team builder with excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a drive to meet business targets and collaborate well with internal / external stakeholders.
  • Highly resourceful and results-oriented and strong business connections in identifying and developing business opportunities.
  • Knowledge in accounting, finance, financial modelling and business presentation
