Responsibilities

(1) Retail Micro-Segment Strategy

  • Be part of a team to develop micro-segment strategy for our DBS/POSB retail customer base, by generating insights on customer demographics, behaviour, needs, and jobs-to-be-done (JTBD).
  • Enrich the quantitative segmentation insights with qualitative insights obtained through customer immersion studies to uncover customer needs and motivations.
  • Carry out competitive analysis within and outside of the banking industry to understand how we stack up in our client value proposition.
(2) Customer Value Proposition, Engagement, Product & Offering
  • Identify strategic opportunities for target micro-segments.
  • Curate consumer trends, assess strategic business implications, and recommend customer-centric opportunities or propositions.
  • Partner colleagues in Products and Marketing to refine customer value propositions, choreograph the customer engagement journey, and tailor/adapt product or service offerings.
(3) Cognitive Banking (Centrally Driven Customer Engagement)
  • Seeing through from idea to execution, lead the customer engagement strategy for a pool of customers within the target micro-segments, with clear ownership of the attributable business outcomes.
  • Develop customer-driven marketing strategies and use cases based on the target micro-segment's behaviour and engagement preferences.
  • Coordinate with various customer engagement or mar-tech platforms to deliver effective integrated communications to the target micro-segment.
  • Utilize Data Driven Operation Model (DDOM) to maximize value from data and drive business management and shared KPI with products partners, which is to strengthen customer relationships and drive higher profitability.
  • As part of this role, there will be revenue responsibility, where you are expected to take ownership in seeing how your strategy drives direct P&L impact.
Requirements
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with a positive working attitude.
  • Out-of-the-box thinker and creative problem solver who is able to manage complexity, ambiguity, and open-ended questions.
  • Enjoys working in a fast pace environment and responds positively to changes.
  • Strong analytical skills to translate data into actionable plans.
  • Experience in building strong and effective relationships with key partners within and outside the organization.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to internal teams, key partners, and executive management through storyboarding.
  • Self-starter and results-oriented, able to work independently and pragmatically.
  • Structured with good planning and organising capability.
  • Strong in Excel, Powerpoint (Digital, Marketing, Communications, and/or Analytics experience would be a plus!).
