This is a new role created within CBG Retail with the vision to drive the sustainability strategy and related initiatives to empower our customers to live more sustainably and to create new business opportunities for the bank.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work closely with business and support units across CBG- Retail, as well as personnel from the Chief sustainability office to drive relevant and impactful initiatives.

• Co-create and deliver sustainability-related products and services for our customers in collaboration with business units within CBG-Retail and the Chief Sustainability Office
• Foster cultural change and promote mindset shifts through upskilling and sharing of best practices.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, monitoring, and reporting on ESG metrics.
• Develop sustainability strategies: Responsible for creating and implementing sustainability strategies tailored to the CBG-Retail business goals. Identify areas for improvement, set measurable targets, and develop plans to enhance environmental, social, and economic sustainability.
• Affect solution-oriented proposal and recommendation: Consider sustainability proposals with attention to factors such as cost-effectiveness, feasibility, and ease of integration and fulfillment.
• Manage relationships with key external stakeholders, including with potential ecosystem partners to drive joint solutions.
• Reporting and communications: Manage and oversee the sustainability-related disclosure and communication strategy, jointly with various stakeholders.
• Compliance: Ensure the business operations complies with relevant regulations and standards. Prepare internal reports, detailing the organization\xe2\x80\x99s performance
• Internal stakeholder engagement: Engage with cross-functional business stakeholders to raise awareness about sustainability initiatives, gather input, and foster collaboration to enhance the organization\xe2\x80\x99s social and environmental impact.
• Continuous improvement: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives. Analyse, track progress towards goals, and identify areas for improvement, ensuring the overall adoption over time.

Requirements

• Bachelor or Postgraduate Degree in Environmental studies, sustainability, or business with more than 5 years of work experience in the sustainability and/or financial sector
• Passionate and updated about the latest sustainability-related trends, news, and literature, including the crossroads of technology & digitalization and sustainability
• Great understanding of sustainability principles, environmental regulations, and carbon footprint reduction strategies
• Stakeholder engagement \xe2\x80\x93 comfortable supporting projects with multiple stakeholders from various departments/backgrounds
• Resourceful and adaptable to uncertainty
• Able to focus on the goal, while paying attention to details on the journey
• A strong team player
