Job Description

:Responsibilities

• Perform detailed research to identify investment prospects in deep tech industries (eg. AI, Biotechnology, Robotics etc)
• Lead exhaustive due diligence on potential investments, evaluating technical, financial, legal, commercial, and operational factors, as well as conducting market and competitor analysis and consulting with industry experts and customers.
• Support the growth and management of portfolio companies by offering strategic advice, operational assistance, and other value-enhancing contributions.
• Drive fundraising initiatives and manage relationships with both current and potential Limited Partners (LPs).
• Work closely with senior leadership to oversee and manage the Singapore branch.
• Participate in initiatives aimed at positioning the company as a leading deep-tech investment firm in Asia and beyond.

Requirements

• PhD or Masters in natural sciences or engineering
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in research/investments roles, with a proven history of achievements, preferably in early-stage investment or deep-tech commercialization.
• Demonstrate a passion for utilizing technological innovation to tackle environmental and social challenges.
• Exhibit excellent analytical abilities, with the capability to perform comprehensive due diligence on early-stage deep-tech startups.
• Possess a deep understanding of industry complexities and a strong network in one or more of the firm\'s investment areas.
• Have strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely convey complex information to a variety of stakeholders, and the capacity to build trust with entrepreneurs.
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently and efficiently, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
