Roles & Responsibilities The Warehouse and Planning Manager (W+P Manager) is responsible for inventory management, and material planning & logistics for all our projects, including forecasting inventory needs. This will include tracking inventory movement through system software, developing and communicating material lists to our warehouse operator and ensuring delivery of the materials to the various project sites. In addition, the W+P manager shall be responsible for managing the relationship with our warehouse operator, planning material requirements for upcoming projects and placing orders to maintain inventory levels.
Responsibilities Project-level management

• Review component purchase orders to suppliers
• Maintain database of current information for all components including but not limited to modules, inverters, structures, blocks, cables, connectors and consumables
• Coordinate material delivery schedule with project management team

Demand/supply matching and buffer strategy

• Perform demand and supply matching on a fortnightly basis or as needed to ensure materials needed for pipeline projects are covered.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Accounts Payable to issue POs and process invoices on a timely basis to cover supply gaps
• Track and ensure materials are delivered on time.
• Develop and implement component buffer strategy.
• Consistently maintain an optimum level of buffer to cover ad-hoc projects.

Warehousing

• Maintain internal stores and external warehouse management
• Verify incoming materials, correct storage and WMS updates.
• Promptly resolve any material discrepancies with suppliers.
• Oversee material withdrawal for projects and ensure correct parts delivered on timely basis
• Maintain accurate book-to-physical integrity through regular cycle count and accurate receiving and withdrawal.

Requirements

• Excellent planning, organisation and prioritisation skills
• Between 3-5 years work experience as a logistics manager or equivalent with 1-2 years material planning experience.
• Solar industry experience is preferred
• Understanding of supply chain procedures
• Negotiation skills would be an advantage
• Able to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
